The morning after the first four contestants were eliminated, the dust settles and mildly outraged fans realize that the cuts were appropriate. Janell Wheeler, Ashley Rodriguez, Tyler Grady and Joe Munoz were all given the axe because they simply just didn’t seem to have the potential to wow. A contestant like Lacey Brown or Todrick Hall would survive on their effort and their unique qualities; singing a fifth-rate cover of “Happy” without any of Leona Lewis’ vocal prowess is asking for trouble.
