American Idol lost a whopping 17% of its viewers this week and it seemed to have scared them. For the first time ever they are asking viewers our opinion on the show. please take a Minute to go and fil out the survey.

That was freaky – JP, are you sure you didn’t have a hand in writing that survey.
It hit almost all the points we constantly complain about and the reasons why we think the show is going downhill. Only one glaring omission – “One Person, One Vote”, instead of the alleged mass texting by tweens.
I KNOW, John. lol
Took the survey. I noticed they did not ask ANYTHING about whether you thought the voting rules was fair…
Letting people multi-text and vote more than a set number of times should be changed so a limited number of calls/text messages per single source. Without the new rules to make it fair I am not going to waste my time voting anymore.
Show should be about the contestants not the random ACTS they bring in or the judges babbling about irrelevant stuff. Show more about the people/talent that are competing and back stage information. And by the way GET SOME TALENT to start with instead of “knocking the ones you brung.”
Yes I am still bitter about Season 8.
This show is dead to me.
They talked a LITTLE about the Voting in the beginning, but they will never change that. They make too much in Texting.
you CAN tell that they are going to be changing up the judges big time, and I’m sure they will try to offer Paula a boatload to return. lol
well the quiz didnt ask me the right questions and never gave me a chance to say what wasnt covered by questions, so i dont know how they will compile that crap to make the show better.
Like they are going to take anyone’s suggestions seriously. Let’s face it: Fremantle and Sony are walking away from Idol and Simon Fuller for complete control of X-Factor. This wreckage was deliberate to bury Idol and make way for the new show that Sony owns outright.
I think they are looking for a huge change as far as the judges go. I think they may try to get Pauler to return.
Who did you put as mentors you would like to see? I said Clyde Davis and Quincy Jones. Has either one been a mentor previously?
I said David Cooke and NPH
I felt like I was deciding the future of the judges. They really wanted to know why I didn’t like them. Hmmm…. I can’t wait for the X factor. Look for me. I am definitely auditioning.
Monty, if you get past the first round, CONTACT ME!!! <3
Poor contestants…boring…where is Siobhan? where Daughtrey?
I hate the fact they never asked about the voting! I agree it should be more like how DWTS has a limited number of votes per phone line.
I too noticed you couldn’t give an opinion anywhere so I filled in the two blanks for who I would like to see guest judge, with how about judges with more personality and who will give an opinion and something about letting them sing better music (I think I can’t remember my 2nd thing).
Lets see if this even makes a difference.
They are scared of jumping the shark now that Simon is leaving.
I think American Idol should get away from some of these themes that they use every season [beatles, elvis, etx]…its kinda getting way to boring. Change up the themes to 80′s week, 90′s weeks or have a ROCK week.
Check out American Idol in Sweden 2009…they were singing songs from Iron Maiden, Mr.Big, Bon Jovi, etx…they also had a guest judge from the band, Europe – Joey Tempest.
I bet if you do a POLL on theme weeks…you’ll find that everyone is BORED with the present themes…
Also, they want the singers to sing YOUNG, but they make them sing ELVIS, BEATLES, FRANK SINATRA…..such a YAWN-FEST….TIME TO CHANGE IT UP…
I took the survey, but often I didn’t like the choices I was given. None of them applied at times. And the one thing they needed to address besides the magnified self importance of the judges is the system of voting. that’s one of the biggest problems with the show as I see it. The other is how they come to the conclusion that certain people aren’t good enough to be passed on and others are. It’s amazing to me when I hear of ones that didn’t even get past the first round. Simon didn’t want to pass Adam through originally. If the others had gone along with it, there would be no Adam, essentially, at least not to the rest of us.
