The Idol Democracy Report by Ray Costanza

Greetings, this is the first week of the Idol Democracy Report. Well, if you look at the current numbers, you might as well hand the ladies crown to Crystal. She has been in command since Week One, and getting better and better every week. Shewon the week by a wide 3-1 margin over her fellow Indie busker queen, Siobhan. Crystal has risen from from 16.3 percent in Week One to 35.9 in Week Three. The only other person to improve every week has been a surprise as it was Didi that made that feat. She started this season with a 6.1 percentage of the vote. She received  7.5 percent last week, and 9.2 this week. Katelyn has basically flatlined, picking up no more than just over 7 percent of the votes all season.

On the Men’s side, Michael Lynche should be thanking his lucky stars that he was not disqualified in January. He won the week with over 24 percent of the vote. This is a 15 percent improvement over Week One, where he came in at just over 9 percent of the vote. Casey came in second for the week, as his numbers continue to drop from Week One. He won Week One With 22 percent. He received 15.7 this week. The biggest surprise has been the incredible performance of the unwanted Idol, Tim Urban. He has gone from Golightly’s replacement to possible contender, finishing third this week with a 14.6 percent of the votes cast. Todrick Hall continues his abysmal showing. He is at the foot of the table with only 5.1 percent of the vote cast.

The tables for the three weeks

SInce the tables did not update, the Men’s scores this week 3/10;

Contestant
% that voted for contestant to move on
Michael Lynche
24.2
Casey James
15.7
Tim Urban
14.6
Alex Lambert
14.4
Lee Dewyze
11.0
Andrew Garcia
7.8
Aaron Kelly
7.2
Todrick Hall
5.1

According to the tallies, Lacey and Katelyn should be going home this week for the Ladies. Aaron and Todrick will go home for the Men. 2,966 people voted on the Men’s side. 3,859 vote for the Ladies. It shows that more people are paying attention to the Ladies than to the Men. This trend may continue when both sides come together in Week Four. In closing, it seems that Crystal is in complete command. Michael, with the diminished participation, is a distant second.

Until next week.
