First reactions: Wow…these are some (cough) interesting (cough) picks.

So, Katie gets “Wild Horses” after all. Ugh… You know that just about half of the girls wanted that song, and Little Miss Pageant Princess ends up getting her way. I swear to God, if the producers are going to continue to jam this girl down my throat, I’ll quit watching. You just know that Katie’s going to do the Susan Boyle version of the song (it’s the only version she probably knows), which will be just dreadful. I would beg America to do the right thing and send her home, but I’m starting to get the feeling that it wouldn’t matter anyway. We may be looking at Carrie / Jordin 2.0, folks.

“Under My Thumb?!” Tim Urban?! Really?! Oh, God; is this going to be an epic train wreck or what? VFTW is creaming their proverbial jeans over that one.

Like everyone else, I would have much preferred that Crystal get “Gimme Shelter” (especially over freaking Andrew), but she’ll do fine with this choice.

Michael, Casey, Lee, Lacey and- yes- even Aaron appear to have made pretty smart song choices, while Andrew and Paige are questionable. I don’t know quite what to think of Didi’s choice, as “Play With Fire” is an angry, vindictive song. The sound is right for her, but I really don’t know if she can pull this off. She would have been better with something like a Sarah McLachlan-type arrangement of “Shine a Light” (I think that Katelyn would have killed this, IMO).

I was kind of fearing Siobhan’s choice when I first heard it, but, now, I’m actually looking forward to it. This could be a rough night.
