Well, in about 12 hours we will have 12 butts to fill the uncomfortable, but oh so wanted, top 12 chairs. Who will fall short? This week, it was really hard for me to pick which guys will be leaving. I am actually thinking of splitting the votes for the Joe’s Place Idol Weekly Pool between 3 or 4 guys. Here’s what I’m thinking will happen:

I hope to hell that I’m dead wrong about Lilly, as I think that she is absolutely deserving of making the Top 12. I just don’t think that she did as good a job connecting with a core audience as she needed to in order to stay alive. Because no one (with the exception of Big Mike) was particularly spectacular this week, I think that we’re in for a shocker boot tonight, and Lilly certainly fits that bill. Another possibility for this is Lee, who was in 7th place on DialIdol after last night’s vote.
Aaron Kelly should go, but I don’t think he will. Not yet anyway. Too many tweens still voting for him. If my wishes come true, it will be:

Katie and Paige….Aaron and Alex UNLESS we see some fan base support.
Lee had a problem in being first up last night, and, thus forgettable. Don’t know why Andrew and Todrick are on these lists, unless it’s a likeability issue — their overall talent is there.
This is the first week that I have absolutely no idea who is going home. I’m still fairly confident that Paige & Todrick are going home, but the other two slots are pretty up in the air. I have a feeling that a one-time frontrunner may be leaving tonight (Katie, Andrew, or maybe even Lilly).
Should go: BOYS: Todrick (even though he was decent last night, it does not make up for two weeks of abysmal performances) & Tim (I get it. He’s super cute and seems very sweet. But no… just no). GIRLS: Paige (super forgettable) & Katie (this slot is a toss up with Lacey, but I can at least deal with Lacey a couple more times– not so with Little Miss Pageant Queen)
Will go: BOYS: Todrick & Andrew ( don’t necessarily agree with it, but can totally see why this may be the case) GIRLS: Paige & Katie
Yes! I also have a feeling that a frontrunner is getting the boot tonight! I want Lacey and Paige or Katie to go. Toddrick is my least favorite guy. I don’t think Andrew is leaving though. This dude has a huge fanbase! Hope Alex Lambert makes it to the top 12 I loooooove his voice! Well we’ll see! Can’ wait..It’s a tough call!

I think based on last night, as well as overall, it should be Toddrick, Andrew, Paige, and Lacey leaving. Katie has also been less than great, but I think she has enough fans to stick around a little longer. Seeing Andrew and Toddrick especially would make me really happy since they have both ranged between boring and terrible all season. However, I think it might be Toddrick, Alex, Lacey, and Katelyn that go home.
FYI: Lacey WILL NEVER go home. I know of people at her church that txt voted 10,000 per person for her. It does NOT take too many people doing that to add up to millions of votes! NOT REALLY FAIR if you ask me. should be a limit of like 10 votes per person, might make the results a little more realistic to see who America really wants to win.
I am hoping that Paige and Lacey go home. Neither has any chance to win this contest. Ditto for Tim and Todrick.
So, while some of you don’t like Katie, I can still see a path to where she comes on and eventually makes it to the final 3. Not so for the other 4. As much as Andrew deserves to go home, I can still see that path for him, as well. And for Aaron Kelly.

NOTE: About this time last year I was saying that I saw a path for Kris Allen to make it to the top 2 or 3 for what that’s worth.
While we may be upset that certain contestants haven’t lived up to their hype, we shouldn’t be keeping other contestants who have no chance of winning just because they have met or slightly exceeded our modest expectations for them.

Todrick did have a good night last night….but the past 2 weeks were just gross-void performances and to tell you the truth-I did NOT like his attitude during hollywood week

Andrew’s gonna hit the finals, and I hope Alex does too. Casey actually proved himself last night for a Top 10 position I think, but Lee might be in a bit of trouble. Doubt Andrew/Casey/Lee are gonna leave any time soon, but Alex might be in a tiny bit of trouble… Once again I sure hope not, because:
1) I like him.
2) It’d be too ironic for him to be “in trouble” this week, get it?

I think Paige’s problem is that she’s not very smart. I can tell she’s got a great voice, but her song choices are terrible, her interview packages are bad… That’s too bad, she’s cute and seems like a nice girl. But without brains it’s hard to win a fierce competition like this.

Well, the results are in. and…American Idol sucks!
Paige Miles, Lacey Brown, Tim Urban? Really.
Does everyone get that at least one of these three is guaranteed to go on tour? Holy Sanjaya, batman!
Now, while I don’t think that either Lilly Scott or Katelyn Epperly could win this thing, I think they had a chance and I liked both of them for top 6.
I am not upset at the guys who left as neither could win. But that still doesn’t chill my disdain for this show right now.
In a season where they can really not afford any goofs because the eventual winner may be the worst in the history of the show, talent-wise (I think Bowersox is no better than Allison last year) the fans eliminated two very good contestants while allowing I-stepped-on-my-cat’s tail voices like that of Paige, Lacey and Urban to stay on the show.
Yeah, people will watch…but I won’t be one of them.
It’s spring. Time to get out and get some fresh air and listen to some GOOD music.
My bets for American Idol this season? Any of these three: Crystal Bowersox, Mike Lynche or Lee Dewyze.

I know there are people doing that for Lee too. He’s from my town and went to my high school ( before he changed schools) and people are voting like crazy for him. Of course Lee has a ton of support outside of Chicago too.
