Siobhan should sing Cant you hear me knocking

  2. Bill Mitchell says:

Siobhan should consider something recorded within the last 30 years. Current might be good.

Casey travis tritt verison of honkey tonk woman

  4. Jackson says:

You’re right Bill, she only sang what Slezak of EW called “the greatest performance in Idol semi-final history” last week. She certainly wouldn’t make that mistake again! (: Maybe she could work her way up to James Taylor. (: How current could any Rolling Stones song be?

This is for fun right? cos didn’t they already choose songs for this week. I mean even Alex had chosen the 19th breakdown song.

pleaaseeee no ballads this week. if u have previously used a guitar , drop it this week thanks. finally it’s the rolling stones get out of ur comfort zone and rock the shit out of the song.

According to Access Hollywood, Siobhan is going to sing “Paint It, Black” this week. Honestly, I don’t know if this is wise or not. This could be great, or it could be an absolute train wreck. My guesses for the remaining contestants:

    1. Casey James: “Tumbling Dice”- “Honky Tonk Women” would also work, but it would be a huge cliché for Casey to play that song.

    2. Lee DeWyze: “It’s Only Rock and Roll”- Lee could also pick the Guns ‘n Roses version of “Sympathy For the Devil,” if he’s so inclined.

    3. Michael Lynche: “Fool to Cry”- This is as close to a slow soul jam as the Stones have written. This song fits Big Mike like a glove, particularly given its father-daughter themes.

    4. Aaron Kelly: “No Expectations”- No pun intended here. Few of the Stones’ many country-style songs fit Aaron well, but this one comes the closest.

    5. Andrew Garcia: “Beast of Burden”- If Andrew can find the soulful spot in his voice this week, he could actually do pretty well with this song.

    6. Tim Urban: “Angie”- This may actually fit Tim’s voice pretty well, if anything can.

    7. Crystal Bowersox: “Gimme Shelter”- If you’ve ever heard Patti Smith’s cover of this song, you can imagine what this could sound like. This could be another blow-away performance.

    8. Didi Benami: “Shine a Light”- Didi is a tough one to pick for, as none of the songs really suit her well. If she re-works this song to fit her voice, she could have a real moment with it.

    9. Lacey Brown: “Wild Horses”- You know someone will do it. If Lacey does the Sundays’ version (and NOT Susan Boyle’s- ugh), it could work.

    10. Katie Stevens: “As Tears Go By”- I don’t know if Katie has the world-weariness to pull off Marianne Faithfull’s version, but it’s not like she has a lot of choices here.

    11. Paige Miles: “Jumpin’ Jack Flash”- Aretha Franklin recorded a cover of this song, which could work for Paige.

  8. Damien Roberts says:

    Didi Benami-Wild Horses

    Crystal Bowersox-Beast of Burden

Katie Stevens-You Can’t Always Get What You Want

    Siobhan Magnus-Sympathy for the Devil

Lacey Brown-Fool to Cry (time to take a risk)

    Paige Miles-Emotional Rescue

    Tim Urban-Shine a Light

Andrew Garcia-Can’t You Hear Me Knocking

Michael Lynche-Start Me Up (can easily turn a little R&B, but its time for something a little upbeat)

Casey James-Angie (Honky Tonk Woman is way to safe)

    Aaron Kelly-Under My Thumb (youthful)

    Lee-I Can’t Get No (Satisfaction)
