UPDATE: Sounds like Crystal was in a Diabetic Coma today, and was taken to the hospital. She is being released from the Hospital now. Holy Smokes!!
When Ryan Seacrest was doing his radio show this morning, he was talking about the Girls performing tonight on American Idol. Then at around 11:00 a.m. the American Idol website suddenly had the boys performing tonight and the girls performing tomorrow night. At first we were not sure if this was just a big AI.com webmaster error, but then news suddenly began to spread that indeed, it was no error. It turns out that one one of the top 10 girls was TOO SICK to perform tonight. Crystal Bowersox has a medical issue which is why she cant perform 2nite on American Idol. It will be addressed tonight, i believe. THIS has never happened before, so Crystal must be really sick.
According to US Weekly, Crystal has been hospitalized. In fact it sounds like she was in a Diabetic Coma.
MJ is reporting that: FOX Issued a press release confirming tonight’s switch due to Crystal’s illness, “Due to medical issues which would prevent Crystal Bowersox
from performing tonight, the 10 male semifinalists will perform this evening, and the 10 female semifinalists will perform tomorrow night.” The press release also adds that the switch is for one week ONLY.
EW states, also, that Crystal Bowersox is too sick to perform tonight.

I hope Crystal will be ok. She is one of my top favorites. She is so genuine and talented! Please be ok, Crystal. She or Lilly might be the only ones who can save American Idol, seriously…

I wonder if she wasn’t getting enough to eat due to the rehearsals… Hopefully she’ll be able to take better care of herself and the production will also make sure that she eats all her meals, gets all the meds on time, etc.
BTW, so many kids on Idol get sick every year! Living in close quarters, not eating and sleeping well? My advice: give them flu shots and tell them to wash their hands!
I can finally compliment “American Idol” for doing the right thing in Crystal Bowersox’s case. Her condition is nothing to sneeze at, and in past years (like in Bo Bice’s case)they would have insisted Crystal drag herself out on stage, if need be, to perform. It is good to see they have added the word compassion to their vocabulary.
Hoping Crystal is better soon! I kinda think the boys and girls should switch off as to who goes first – otherwise, don’t the boys always have an extra day to prepare? Hmmmm…

I can’t believe that an American Idol backup singer can’t spell the word “Idol”…Idle is what this backup singer’s career is. Maybe the dumbass could read his/her paycheck and see how it’s spelled.
Oh! Poor Crystal.. I think AI def did the right thing by switching nights.
