No Lilly Scott in the Top 12 is a FREAKING TRAVESTY. She will be just fine, though, I predict….Katie shouldn’t be through, but TPTB had to have their youngins’ around…

Lilly Scott was ripped off! She has the pipes to make it to the top 4, let alone the top 12!! Yikes!!

    Well, that sucked…

Sometimes, I really hate to be right about something, and Lilly Scott being voted off of “Idol” is one of those times. You really can’t blame VFTW that much for this one, as even they can’t stand Katie Stevens. Ultimately, Lilly herself has to share the lion’s share of the blame for this one, as her odd song choice this week failed to connect her to neither country music fans nor indie rock fans. If you don’t have a core voting bloc to support you (many of the fans who might have voted for Lilly voted for Siobhan, Crystal, and even Lacey instead), you just won’t last on “American Idol.” Bottom line: Katie connected with a fan base (whomever the hell that may be), and Lilly did not. That’s what happened here. It just goes to show you just how powerful audition-round pimping can be…

I didn’t pick Katelyn Epperly to get booted tonight (I had picked both Lilly and Katie, ironically enough), but I’m not entirely shocked by it. I had thought that, unlike Lilly, Katelyn had actually built up a significant fan base, but I guess she didn’t. I can’t say that I’m that sorry to see her go, however, based on her lazy final performance. This is why you have to bring your a-game at all times, people. No one is safe, EVER. Paige Miles, on the other hand, needs to send a present to VFTW for keeping her around for at least another week. It will be a close contest between Paige and Katie to see which girl goes home first.

As for the guys; I don’t think that anyone was that surprised to see Todrick Hall go home, as he had pretty much worn out his welcome. I’m REALLY surprised that Alex Lambert went home over both Andrew García and Aaron Kelly (who was my pick), though. I had thought that Alex had built up quite a bit of a fanbase over the past three weeks (despite “Idol’s” best efforts to bury him in both the auditions and Hollywood), and that this would have been enough to survive the dreaded “death spot” last night. Alex’s performance last night was just not very spectacular (although it was certainly solid), though, and this is what did him in (if any perceived male contender was to be in danger tonight, I would have put my money on Lee DeWyze). I just have to wonder who the hell was voting for Aaron Kelly after last night’s atrocity. I mean, I thought that this kid might have played well with grannies, tweens and red-state types, but REALLY? That performance was awful enough to get VFTW to consider changing their pick (and they NEVER do that, btw), and he still skated through. Just bizarre…

What a terrible results show. Lily and Katelyn going home? Are you kidding me? Alex was terrific and as much as I wanted Toddrick to go home last week… I thought he deserved to stay this week.

Tim, Aaron, Katie, Paige should have gone home… and in all honesty that doesn’t mean that I didn’t like them… uh.. well.. ok.. so I don’t really like most of them.

*sigh* It’s shaping up to be another Jordan Sparks kind of year

I hope that we see more of Alex, he’s got such a cool voice.

    Just me, Just moo

I was suprised by some of the people they sent home. The only one who was not a shock was Todrick.
    The others were.
