I used to pick the winner right out of the auditions until I stopped even watching those 2 seasons ago. I did however tune in last night but I can’t say for sure since I will not see all the auditions. That guy Andrew Garcia was impressive though.
The easiest pick ever was Carrie Underwood. I knew it was a foregone conclusion the minute she opened her mouth. Can you imagine a farm girl like that out in the middle of nowhere? If not for American Idol she’d likely have married Jim Bob and never left the farmhouse.
What about Justin Williams?
I’m hoping your Big Mike news is on the money. He’s a great performer and a definite star in the making. Plus, woof.

hard to pick this early but im gonna say andrew garcia will win this season. he can do something with his voice when he goes high that most people cant just like david cook could with his and adam lambert with his. usually contestants who can sing great and have a defining sound or big notes they can hit in a unique way do really well on this show and i don’t think he’ll be any different. also it doesn’t hurt with all the air time he got last night which will usually lead to more air time for hollywood given he chose songs that they are allowed to show. early air time usually means an easier path to the top12 which is good because those first few weeks can be very shaky for some contestants that cant really shine until they get comfortable with everything.
also am i the only person who is shocked that the guy who ripped his pants and the singing beat boxer didn’t make the top 24??!!?

Man, that stinks. I was really banking on Mallorie Haley, she was one of my favorites not only from this season, but from all of AI history. I really liked her. Hopefully something will change because I have a feeling she could do very well in this competition.

I assumed Casey James auditioned in Dallas, but AI doesn’t show him in the Golden Ticket videos from Dallas or any of the cities listed so far. With only Denver left I’m confused. Anyone know where he auditioned?

don’t any of you realize how unfair it is to pick a favorite right now? audition rounds aren’t even over yet, and even by the time hollywood week is done we’ll be lucky to have actually met half those contestants. it makes me so angry to see how much time is wasted on bad auditions and stupid montages of crying people, instead of letting us see the auditions of everyone who makes top 24! it is unfair to allow some people a head start on building a fan base. It just makes me so mad. For all we know, the best singer could be someone we don’t get to see until the top 24 perform. And that singer probably won’t win, because they didn’t have a foster kid childhood or divorced parents to exploit.

Lilly Scott is FANTASTIC! Love her voice, her music, her style. I doubt she’ll make it far in the competition since she isn’t typical Idol mainstream/pop… But I’m gonna enjoy her performances while I can.
I’m quite surprised at this list. It looks like there is no clear front-runner, and a lot of the early favorites tanked in the Hollywood callback rounds. I hope that there will be plenty of surprises in the semifinals (namely a few of the favorites not doing as well as they could, and a few underdogs setting themselves up as frontrunners).
Where is Jim Ranger on the top list? He has some really good songs to listen to on myspace. He’s got a Great voice!
Hollywood week must have been BRUTAL. *Everyone* I was hoping to see more of in the show (at least on the girl’s side) is gone. I’m dreading wtaching it now!
I’m particularly bummed about about Tasha Layton from the LA auditions. Great singer and cute as heck. A tragedy we won’t be seeing (much) more of her (unless hopefully she turns up somewhere else).
Guess it goes to disprove the notion that the producers hand-pick people who are telegenic, cause (I think) she would have been ratings gold.
I am hugely bummed out that that my two faves didn’t make it to this list- Jennifer Hirsh and Benjamin Bright (who lives locally to me in upstate NY), both from the Boston Audition. I at least hope they pick a Northerner to win this time.
I am surprised Ben Honeycutt isn’t on that list. There are going to be many people upset when they find out. That’s why I will wait until I have seen and heard all 24 contestants before I decide on who I want to win.

I think it’s up to the person that wants to pick, they should be able to pick if they want. My fav. out of all of them is Andrew Garcia. I have checked out all of the “supposed” 24 (which keeps getting changed btw), and Andrew is the most versatile. I am usually right, about who wins, so we will see. I was wrong last season, because Adam should of won.
I didn’t get Carrie because I think Bo should of won. There is so many ppl out there like Carrie (she is good don’t get me wrong), but Bo was just it, the looks, the voice, the talent, and he loses to Carrie makes no sense to me.
I wanted Blake to win, because he was different.
But I knew Jordin would win it.
I knew Kelly and Reuben were winners along with Fantasia and Taylor, although I thought Elliot should of won.
Elliot is my all time favorite AI Contestant with many that follow him.
Well let’s see what happens in the next few weeks and find out who is really going to be on the top 24.

why the hell isn’t tori kelly on this list? she’s awesome and her vocal technique is unmatched by most of the singers on the list. she’s way better than ashley rodriguez, SMH, the judges alwayz get two or three picks wrong.

So I watched the show tonight and I got up to get something for my daughter and missed Jay Stone or whatever they were showing about him I walked in the room as a pic of him was going off the screen. So I wanna know why he did not make it and what he did wrong? Did he mess up that bad?? I really liked him as id I Blake Lewis. I hope I can find his hollywood week audition on you tube or somewhere.
