GUYS, PLEASE VOTE FOR KRIS! I want Kris to win so badly. I was devistated when David Archuleta lost last year! I REALLY REALLY like Kris. I like Adam to, but here’s the thing –

BECAUSE OF ADAM’S STYLE, ATITUDE, AND LOOK, HE WILL GO FAR EVEN IF HE’S RUNNER UP.

PLEASE vote for Kris you guys. I like Adam, but Kris is hot and talented, and Adam will go just as far as him if he wins.

Oh my gosh, you and me both. By 12:30am I was hitting phone buttons in slo-mo because my brain was too tired to keep going. But I did. Got my second wind around 12:45 and voted like crazy till the end. Four hours of voting was ridiculous. Hopefully it will end up being worth it.

I think for BOTH these guys to have good careers, Adam should win. If Kris wins, he will get serious backlash (thru no fault of his own…but it will be there), the “asterisk” will apply and I don’t he’ll be taken seriously.

Secondly, if Adam has to release that crap song for a single, he will be able to overcome it. If Kris wins and has to release it, people will listen and just think…”Gee this guy sucks.” I don’t think he will have an easy time getting out from under that.If Adam wins, Kris will be able to sing a song that suits him for his first single. ( I LIKE Kris too…I’ve downloaded 5 of his songs…I’m not trying to be catty)

If Adam doesn’t win, I can’t help but feel guilty. I called for a solid hour and didn’t get through once (west coast). That hasn’t happened all season. Hopefully it’s a good sign.

I’m confused by the Dial Idol charts. It says 8:40 west, but we hadn’t even started voting at that time. And apparently Adam killed on the west coast.

All the gambling sites I’ve checked out has Adam winning this thing. I guess it comes down to whether last week’s result is a good indicator of the outcome. If it is then Kris Allen could have a good chance of winning – especially with Danny Gokey’s votes on board. On the other hand, if people vote how they did last year – Dark Prince versus the White Knight – then Adam’s in. It’s a coin toss but obviously, it shouldn’t be. Based on consistency and the performance in the finale, Adam should win.

Bill you are so right. Adam HAS WON is my eyes (and the judge’s and entertainment world’s eyes) no matter what the polls decide. The poor winner will actually have to release that hideous song for their first single. I don’t even know if the magic of the recording studio can fix that one! I actually had a thought that even if Chris pulls through and wins, Adam might be relieved he won’t have to release that song and then repeatedly sing it on tour and wherever he makes an appearance. Can you imagine? As much as I think Adam deserves the win, I shiver when I think he would have to continuously sing that song. What a BUMMER for either of them!

Adam SO deserves to win this and he WANTS to win – who doesn’t want to the be the winner in a contest ? Why bother entering if you are not ” in it to win it ” .
That being said , I will have to live with it if the very average Kris Allen is crowned the winner by America and I will not be shocked – saddened , but not shocked .

Adam’s rendition of ” Change is Gonna Come” alone was worthy of the win even if he messed up every other song all season – and he never hit a bum note ALL season, IMO. Kris on the other hand ….

Kris is a good singer and seems like a decent guy but they are light years apart in talent .

I suggest Idol do away with the ” coronation songs ‘ – they ALL suck . It would have been so much better if each contestant could have chosen one more personal choice song – to hear Adam sing Freddy Mercury would have been magic. Hopefully there will be a cover on the multi platinum album he is bound to have .

Yes, I agree with Bill Mitchell above -e Adam ‘s name will the one we know and his will be the songs we hear on the radio. He will be an international star .

Someone mentioned Adam “hijacking the title” this year. That is a true statement.

Question: Who won the “Miss USA” Contest this year? Don’t know? Ok, now who placed second? Sure, Miss California Carrie Prejean – everyone knows. She is now famous for her comments on gay marriage and the MSM’s freakout over them.

Even if Kris wins, Adam will get more notoriety for placing second than Kris did for winning.

I don’t know if I would call it a travesty if Adam didn’t win. At the same time, Adam deserves the win. He’s had more “moments” the entire season. The press was massive for him – more than any other season. Most of it focused on the music, though recently some are jumping back into the “is he or is he not” storyline. He is easily the best vocal talent AI has ever seen in their 8 years and should have the biggest global career of everyone.

Adam won last night – his Simon Fuller pick was a million times better than Kris. And I think he won the first song as well, though I call it a close win. I call the last song a tie – it was crap and it didn’t do any favors for either guy.

I’m royally irritated with AI’s setup this year. Making the guys sing a “repeat” is just wrong.

Many have said that DialIdol has “jumped the shark” this year. It would be hard to argue againts that when Adam was Top 2 the week he ended in Bottom 2 and ‘Lil was #1 when she was Bottom 2.

So, what gives. Simple, FREE TEXT MESSAGING. In prior years, text messaging was an expensive solution. Also, it was not as ubiquitous as it is now. It is clear that MOST of the Idol votes are now coming in via text. No busy signals and you can do 20 vote blocks for every key press.

“Measuring the busy signal” doesn’t capture this.

Also, on nights like last night where the lines are 90% busy 3 hours after the show, meassuring the busy signal isn’t as effective since all lines for both contestants are at maximum capacity the whole time.

Kris was ahead by about 1 just 10 minutes after the show ended and that never changed (although it waivered a bit). I believe the margin of error for Dialidol is something like 5 points, so what we have here is a statistical tie.

It could go either way peeps.

P.S., The surprising thing. The lack of busy signals at all on the West Coast. But then again. A MUCH smaller portion of the country was voting at that time.

We’ll see. Could go either way. I am picking Adam Lambert by 1.5 million votes because Simon WANTS Adam to win and he has the power to throw out any “suspicious” looking block votes (20,000 text votes from a single cell phone, for instance).

What is meant by someone winning “all the big states”? Where is the website that shows this? You got me excited to think Adam was winning. If he doesn’t win I echo so many–what a travesty. I did my part and voted about 300 times texting on my iPhone. And I’m no young tweener….First time voting since the first season. Now, we fought the good fight whatever happens, and Adam will be a star (but I hope one with the winning title!)

Sally Bartlett: Kris not leading in votes, nor states won. He is only a slight bit ahead in the busy percentage dialidol score which has not been all that accurate.I just looked at the vote totals on the chart with 1 hour to go and Adam has more votes.Also is you take the states won and subtract states lost, Adam has a plus 6 and Kris has a minus 6. That has been pretty accurate lately.

Adam has won all the big states!!!
