PREDICTS ADAM WILL WIN

American Idol betting odds had Adam Lambert now as the -350 favorite after opening at -250.  Lambert was initially a -250 favorite.  One would have to bet $3.50 to win $1.00.  Should Lambert be named the next American Idol, the payout would be $1.00 plus the $3.50 bet gets returned for a total of $4.50.  By Wednesday afternoon, Lambert was listed with -150 odds, Allen at +120.

Kris Allen, heading into Tuesday, pays out $2.25 for every $1.00 bet as the underdog.  By Wednesday afternoon one would win $1.20 for every $1.00 for being late betting on Allen.

“Most of the action has gone to Adam Lambert,” says Payton O’Brien of Gambling911.com.

The odds dropped overnight from having to bet 3 dollars to win a dollar on Adam to 1.5 dollars to win a dollar. If you ask me, you’d be CRAZY not to bet on Kris right now. The drop of the odds is directly related to Dial Idol and they should be. If you’re an Adam fan, you have to be SCARED to DEATH on the fact that of his 3 phones lines, he finished last on all 3 by an average of 5 percent to each of Kris’s phone lines in terms of busy signals. With the number of people that used Dial Idol last night so large of a sample, I don’t think there is any doubt that Kris won the popular vote via land-line. It is the text messaging from the Adam fanatics that is Adam’s last hope. I don’t care that much who wins, but I think the oddsmakers haven’t reduced the odds to Kris favor, because people are just convinced to the contrary that Adam is going to win and keep betting their heart. Kris is the best best at this point. Taylor had just about the same odds as Adam going into the final, but after his performance against McPhee his odd shot to almost to 8 dollars to win 1 dollar.

Don’t be fooled. Dial Idol has a error of uncertainty greater than the point spread. It is a statistical dead heat. Dial Idol only samples those that participate by calling in. If you factor in the number of people that do not use Dial Idol and text vote then the uncertainty might even be greater. The Dial Idol results have not been reliable this year in a consistent way. So the numbers might be real close and it could go either way. Tonite there is a 50-50 chance of getting it right/wrong anyhow!!

What is consistent is Adam’s delivery of a great performance and his ability to capture the interest of many people that never voted before or even watched Idol. Many of these people don’t know what Dial Idol even is – others using Dial Idol had problems with it crashing and resorted to call in voting. One thing for sure is 3 phone lines weren’t enough for Adam…I consistently tried to get through all 4 hours and only made it about 50 times.

Adam deserves to win and will be a greater star that shines for years to come no matter what happens tonite. I’ll bet on that LOL!!

Speaking of Dial Idol, “Vote #1″ and Zabasearch have been just as accurate this year and they are both showing Adam winning by a large margin (56/44 and 64/35 respectively).
