There will be a full line up tonight for the big finish of American Idol. New names keep surfacing. For Instance, Rod Stewart has just been added. Here’s the “for Sure” list as of now:

Kris will be dueting with Keith Urban, Danny Gokey with Lionel Richie, Allison will be singing a duet with Cyndi Lauper and Carlos Santana will sing with the entire top 13.
Still no confirlation on who Adam will be dueting with. Only that it is a “Sweet Rock Band that is too perfect”. Kiss is the top guess.

Nigel Lythgoe is hated of “No Boundaries”:“I didn’t like the final song that both guys had to sing. In truth their first songs were their best “Mad World” and “Ain’t No Sunshine.”” and “There are going to be some great guests tonight and I think it’s a close competition. Curt Smith of Tears for Fears was in the Idol audience last night–invited by Adam Lambert.

Should be a ding dong finale, but I don’t care until the last five minutes (even though the winner has to sing Kara’s piece of s**t again; let her sing it instead). Poor winning Idol who has to release it. DO NOT SIGN KARA FOR SEASON NINE OR TO, WELL, ANYTHING.

I’m wondering if it could be Arrowsmith. There’s nothing showing on their official site’s calendar for today’s date. There was another site that said KISS already had a commitment at some kind of “fair” (can you actually believe that…pretty sad!) It said it was just a rumor about an AI appearance but you never know…that could be a coverup too. How great would that be to see Adam and Steven Tyler together!! I’ve seen Arrowsmith in concert (3 yrs ago) and I’m still not over it!!

I can’t believe it’s KISS – ugh. And why no confirmation when we have confirmation of all the other duets? And I don’t expect Ryan to say much good stuff about Adam. It’s pretty clear he prefers Kris. He STILL calls Adam “Lamberts”. Did it today again on his radio show. After all this time how can he not know his name?
With all those guest performers will there be any time for the real two stars?
Wow – just realized I have a lot of questions – all rhetorical though.
Adam was the greatest thing about this season (or any season). Every other change that was made was awful. It seems as though they don’t care what the viewers want.
There’s a great interview taken this morning by Ryan Seacrest with Adam and Kris (for Ryan’s radio station). He says he has the results for tonight. It’s on mjsbigblog unless…Joe can you get it on here?! It’s really good insight how they felt about last night. Adam was really sweet to Kris (as he always is) in telling him how much he liked his 2nd performance (Kris didn’t think it went as well).
I am still hoping it is Def Leppard and that they will sing “Pour Some Sugar On Me.” If not them, then Aerosmith all the way. Go Adam!!!!

I repeat…..NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! NOT KISS! I am beginning to feel nauseated. After such a fabulous competition, they are now going to ruin it.
Yeah, while most are panning an Adam / Kiss duet, they are missing the strange one of Kris and Keith Urban. I like Keith Urban fine, but he doesn’t have the career longevity of the Cyndi Lauper, Lionel Richie, or Kiss. In the grand scheme of things it does look like Kris is getting the short end of the stick here.
But it is the results show. What happens here doesn’t affect the votes.

Been checking all the predictions sites I can think of today -every time I see a call that Adam wins I feel sick with excitement, then crash in case it is wrong!
I think Aerosmith is performing as it ties in with their songs being sung on the show!

The best idea so far has been Norman hosting the tour. We need to fit Tatianna in somehow. Maybe put her outside the theatres wearning a sandwich sign with one of her mottos from the show and walking around crying.
I think the clue for Adam’s duet is …Boston’s most recent frontman Michael Sweet (von Stryper) described as “too perfect” of a fit. Could be cool?
I’ve been hoping for a Pink, Pink-Adam, or Adam performing a pink song ..scenario since they first mentioned Pink as being one of Adam’s favorites. They would make an amazing pair on stage….
So if he can’t have Aerosmith, or someone equally great, then I vote for Pink……hey, that reminds me of a saying “Adam’ is the new Pink…get it…’new pink’…sorry just kidding.
I just want Adam to sing…forget all the guests and ‘filler’ for this show…Adam is all the entertainment we need.

I HATE KISS. I hope it will be someone else. And I don’t get the Kris/Keith Urban duet, but I have to think Kris was at least okay with it, though I would have given it to Danny…
Don’t get me wrong. I like Kris and think he will be a great artist. In fact, I listened to some Keith Urban and they definitely can pick out a song in Kris’ wheelhouse. Not all Keith Urban but some of it.

She ain’t happy about that. So, can’t imagine Kiss in full glam outfitting can be for anyone but Adam. Such a poor choice -damn!! Still maybe Adam’s outfit will be worth it.

The song you mentioned is the only one I can even think of that KISS did. That’s how little I think of their music which was written for the bubble gummers of their time. Keith Urban sounds like a good fit for Kris actually. Pink’s music will be used with the other Idols, but not with her being there. I’m trying to resign myself to the fact that Adam will be with KISS. Keep telling me the good part of this bad news. I’d even rather he sing Do You Think I’m Sexy with Rod Stewart than to be with KISS. And by the way, only Gene Simmons gets to do the tongue thing. That’s his trademark, so I hope Adam uses his tongue to hit the high notes and leaves it at that. Lionel Ritchie and Danny are perfect since didn’t Danny do Endless Love, a Ritchie song? Allison with Cindy doesn’t thrill me either. Cindy is also a has been. I am SO disappointed and I have hours before it starts.
