woo hoo! Just signed up. Last night I was just stunned… I felt upset and couldn’t get past that utter feeling of disappointment. Today, after signing up on Adam’s ‘official’ site, watching his interviews, and seeing the overall press he’s been getting (which has been great) is lifting my spirits big time. He deserves to have an amazing career, and I can see now that his journey has only begun.
ITA No season pass available for him from iTunes, but I am sure it will be later in the week or next week. And you know you can download Is Anybody Listening from iTunes now? (It’s from The Ten Commandments.) It’s awesome.
BTW, Randy wants to work with Adam…
Interesting fact, the online visitors of Adam’s official site have been around 800 the whole day. Kris’ visitors have been below 300.
Another interesting fact about the offcial websites. As of now Allen has 32 pages of fans Lambert 150 pages!
Like I’ve been saying, Kris is nice, but he will end up like the other idols (Ruben, Fantasia, Taylor)in a couple of years, out of people minds. Adam will be around for a long time in all types of media, not only music.
Many voted on Kris for his music, but the haters added MANY votes to that total. TRUE STORY: I’m a teacher in the south. At first, most kids raved they loved Adam. In recent weeks, the media hyped on his sexuality; stories of Kris’s christian missionary work spread. Last week, these same kids still loved Adam but said their parents wouldn’t allow them to vote for Adam! Local christian radio had been saying Kris is “more of a christian” and should win. True Kris fans had hearts in the right place, but plenty others voted on Kris’ values. I have a problem with that. Kris sings ok, but Adam owned the stage almost every week. When Adam lost that crown, haters won. We fans can move forward by making sure the Idol producers know who really won this contest. Love that already Adam has tons of fans signing up! That said, I feel a little sorry for Kris, a nice guy who’ll be terribly overshadowed.
I hugged my monitor today when I went to Adam’s Official website…And again when he was talking to us through his blog…;-)

Listen, ladies: Adam is gay.
You need to stop asking him to be your boyfriend because that doesn’t really compute for him.
All is not lost! We’re brothers and I’m straight. It’s practically the same thing. I think the choice is clear, so, you know where to find me (the internet).
That may be so, but Kris song No Boundries is #2 on Itunes as well as top ringtone and Kris’ performance of Heartless is #1 on top videos! So Adam is not beating Kris where it counts. Congratulations Kris, the American Idol!
All season Adam has had more downloads and views on youtube. Kris is riding the winner wave, and his fans need to prove he deserved to win. Trust me, after the dust settles, Adam will be the long term success and money maker… Kris does not have the star power to be a long term success (nice kid with a good voice, but too laid back and quiet). BTW, most Adam fans could care less about No Boundaries… It’s a crappy song that is now tied to Kris because he is the winner (no offense). Adam will be traveling world wide soon enough, albeit with Queen or his own band.
About Kris’s success in iTunes: 1) As the winner, he does get promotion and radio play which of course brings sales, as with every winner. He deserves success, of course. 2) The Adam fans are mainly thinking of the long-term, in light of the full history of iTunes sales, fans and media buzz. We all know Adam has the edge and will likely continue that, based on this offical fansite “contest.” 3) If someone is a Kris fan, Jason above for example, why wouldn’t you post the “go Kris!” comment on the thread about his official website?? In general, I expect Kris fans to be more mellow, not taking anything away from him. Adam fans are just going to follow him passionately and in greater numbers, imo.
I signed up for Adam’s website as soon as I heard it was up. I also went to Itunes and bought Adam’s studio version of No Boundaries. I’ve talked to alot of people who didn’t even realize that Adam’s version was being released and have now gone to buy it. I think the more people who find out about Adam’s version, the better it will sell. Of course, there will always be Adam fans who won’t buy it because they don’t want to see his name attached to it. But, I’m all for buying anything to do with Adam to show my support.
Yikes! Adam still had to record No Boundaries?! Well I suppose I’ll download it, cuz I love anything with his voice. But those lyrics, sheesh, I don’t know. It might suck hearing Adam sing such fluff. I’ll download it anyway, I’m curious. I’m sure the studio version sounds better than the live one.
Surprisingly, Adam’s studio verion of NO BOUNDARIES has actually grown on me. True, the lyrics are hideous but the melody is kind of catchy. And it’s 100x better than the performance version, during which both Adam and Kris looked like they wanted to leave the room ASAP. Too bad they hadn’t. That would have been a big FU to Kara.
I want to add that Adam’s collection of Idol songs continues to be at #2 on the iTunes Top 100 chart, and Is Anybody Listening from The Ten Commandments continues to slowly grow in popularity. If you don’t already own it or the movie (I have both), PLEASE DOWNLOAD IT. It’s maginificent.
I’m a devout Christian and mother of two music-loving boys, and I must ask: What is wrong with America? America’s vote for Kris Allen, or America’s vote against Adam Lambert, seems to be a hate vote against the various sectors of society that Adam appears to stand for. People lost respect of the fact that American Idol is a singing talent competition that’s open to all, regardless of being straight or gay, Christian or Jewish, middle-class or lower-class; and voters forgot that it is not a popularity contest for class of persons — neither a battle for political leadership, not a crusade for for religious revival, nor a media technology war game. In Season 8, Kris demonstrated that he is a talented musician and progressively proved that he is an outstanding vocalist; but Adam consistently proved to be the amazingly innovative vocal artist and the best singer, gifted with a powerful voice. Adam deserved to win. Even Kris knows this within his Christian heart, so much so that when he was unexpectedly handed the undeserved title, he became perplexed and asserted in open public that “Adam deserves this. I’m sorry…” – instinctively repudiating the unbelievable subsuming vote results in righteous adherence to the glaring truth. You could actually count so many seconds before the visibly bewildered Kris finally acquiesced to receive the undeserved crown, but only after Adam graciously approached to place a brotherly arm around his room mate’s shoulder in a gesture of encouragement. Adam Lambert is the true winner. In addition, I should also ask: What is wrong with Fox’s American Idol, anyway?

All of you who think that Adam should have won, may or may not be right, everyone is entitled to his or her opinion. That being said, Kris did win and I think that whether or not people agree with that Adam can be given praise that he deserves without bashing Kris at the same time which is what a lot of you are doing. It comes down to a matter of personal preference as far as your musical tastes. Please praise Adam without bashing Kris!!
