I knew it. I knew there had to be a reason Brian May went back to the Idol stage after his issues with the powers a few years back.
Hmmm – I’m in 2 boats on whether Adam should do this. On one hand, I would like Adam to go his own course. At the same time, Adam and Queen would be a perfect fit. He needs a band anyway (that’s a given). And I presume they will be recording, and not just touring? The rock world is a snobby bunch – they think Idol performers are lightweight (the hard core rock guys still don’t give credit to Daughtry). Adam wants to break into that rock world, and teaming up with Queen is the way to do it. No one in the rock world would ever dream to call Queen “lightweight”.
I’m thinking Adam may want to wait just a bit longer though. I suspect Zeppelin will be coming with an offer as well. There is only 1 reason they would finally allow one of their songs to be performed on Idol – they wanted to see what Adam would do with it.
I am ridiculously happy Adam lost AI. Can’t believe I think that – he is my favorite Idol contestant of all time by miles. But this is the better way for him.

I see no reason why Adam can’t do both. Let’s face it, Queen may want one last stand, but its members once said they would never replace Freddie Mercury. George Michael probably came the closest to being a replacement. It might possibly be a sort of farewell stand and that would be a great gig for Adam. Does anyone know what his constraints are with Idol?
adam with queen? on tour? yes please! it may be the only way i’d get to see him live as i assume queen would tour the uk too as well as the states. though i’d also love to get an solo album too! but i do agree that he suits having a band behind him
How excited did Brian May look last night? And all Adam can talk about is how cool it was to for him to sing with Queen (his heroes) and KISS. Idol was his platform, and now he can do whatever he wants.

OK, so I do feel that Adam should do his own album and be a solo artist. That being said I SFW him to do a short tour with Queen!! A whole concert of Queen covers, in all is glam glory?? Please, oh pretty please let this happen? Suebrody, if this should ever happen, we are so going together to see them!

I can’t really see Adam as a solo artist. I see him more as a frontman for a band because he has that great rock and roll sound AND the theatrical background! Fantastic frontmen are a zillion times harder to find than vocalists! Adam & Queen sounds like a winning combination to me! And after the Queen gig, he’ll have a lot more opportunities!
I don’t rally like Fox, but I have to say that this was a very good interview. No gay nonsense & the guy (Brian i think) really seemed to like him.
I adore Queen and would be thrilled if Adam went with them, but it’s for him to decide. As a solo artist he’d be unbelievable.
I guess with time the disappointment of 2nd place will wear off. For me I mean. He seems to be over it already, if he ever felt it.

Wow, Adam with Queen. What a combination! Yet, you don’t want Adam to rush too quickly without following his heart. I am sure he will be offered more than he could imagine. He deserves everything he has worked for in his young life. I like that he is a free spirit, and walks to the beat of his own drum.(voice)

Queen is not going to be around forever and we all know Adam is not Freddie and is his own person vocally. A tribute finale farewell tour would rock. Simply amazing. Queen would not have been on the show if they did not want to see what Adam would do with the song or have some slight interest. AI contraints normally are for a year but however with some good lawyering like Clay or Kelly I would imgaine its all able to be breached. I doubt AI would agree since Adam is their cash cow really.
On Extra tv yesterday, Adam co-hosted with Mario Lopez.
Gene Simmons from Kiss invited Adam to join them on tour anytime. Adam said his priority right now is working on his first album, but he would really like to perform in a concert with them. Also, Carrie Ann Inaba invited him to do Dancing With The Stars and he said that would be fun.
I think Danny and Allison may feel relieved now because they know exactly that the votes did not represent talents at all.
