I am really hoping next week is Adam’s week to do Journey or any of the 80′s rock bands for that matter!! For Allison, I’d love to see her rock out to Bonnie Tyler, Lita Ford or Pat Benatar. Heart’s Beracuda would be awesome too but she’s already done a Heart song.

  2. Carlos G. says:

Adam: Sweet Child of Mine – Guns ‘N Roses or anything from Guns ‘N Roses

Danny: Lips of an Angel – Hinder or anything from Hinder

Kris: My Stupid Mouth – John Mayer or anything from John Mayer

Allison: Barracuda – Heart or anything from Heart

  3. spenni says:

I’d like to hear Kris do some Eagles…Hotel California or Desperado.

  4. Brooks says:

    Allison: Barracuda by Heart

  5. rk349097 says:

What I Would Like the Contestants to Sing:

    1. Adam: “Killer Queen,” Queen; “How Soon is Now?,” the Smiths

    2. Kris: “Losing My Religion,” R.E.M.; “Sometime Around Midnight (Acoustic Version),” the Airborne Toxic Event

    3. Allison: “Gigantic,” the Pixies; “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” Guns n’ Roses (cover version by Texas)

    4. Danny: “Have You Ever Seen the Rain?,” Creedence Clearwater Revival; “The Weight,” the Band

    What We Will Likely See:

    1. Adam: “New Sensation,” INXS; “With or Without You,” U2

    2. Kris: “Patience,” Guns n’ Roses; “Crash Into Me,” the Dave Matthews Band

    3. Allison: “I Love Rock n’ Roll,” Joan Jett and the Blackhearts; “Piece of My Heart,” Big Brother and the Holding Company (f. Janis Joplin)

    4. Danny: “Higher,” Creed; “Brown-Eyed Girl,” Van Morrison

  6. wizkid says:

If they get two songs then I’d love Adam to do his Rock thing…whatever…but not too screetchy and not too heavy or it will loose voters, more soulful…and then a “beautiful rock thing”.

  7. lois polotzky says:

if theres 4 judges wat r they doing top 3 when each judge chooses one song they should do ir for top 4 this yr

  8. Doug says:

    Allison – Pat Benatar

    Adam – Zepp , Queen , GNR

  9. miroob says:

i really really want allison to sing alone by heart- it was by far her best performance so far. id love to have the studio version of it- i have the performance on my ipod and listen to it nonstop but id want a longer version to hear!!

  10. I want to hear Allison channel Stevie Nicks So Much! “Rhiannon” from this list but “Gold Dust Woman” would be my pick. She would also rock Jimi Hendrix’s “Watch Tower” or “Purple Haze” no doubt.

I’d like to hear Adam’s interpretation of Janis Joplin’s “Piece of My Heart” or S & G’s “The Boxer”.

  11. Katri says:

Anything BUT “Imagine”. Please, it has been massacred enough.

  12. Brock says:

Allison – Barracuda (Anything from Heart or Pat Benetar)

  13. Cazana says:

    Kris
    Just Like Heaven- The Cure
    Walk the Line- Johnny Cash

    Allison
    Crying- Roy Orbison
    Light My Fire- The Doors

    Danny
    I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For- U2
    Yesterday- Beatles

    Adam
    Fortunate Son- CCR
    Ramble On- Zeppelin

Kris should go acoustic for the ladies. Allison did well to slow it down but I’d like to see her rock out to a classic. Danny can sing a gospel song and invoke his dead wife. Perfect lyrics and vocal range for Adam. But can he take on John Fogerty and Robert Plant in one night?

  14. wizkid says:

My Selections for Adam –if they are stuck with this list.

    *Stairway To Heaven, Led Zeppelin
    *When Doves Cry, Prince
    *Purple Rain, Prince
*Try a Little Tenderness, Otis Redding
    *Somebody to Love, Jefferson Airplane
    *Tears in Heaven, Eric Clapton

  15. Cazana says:

And if they can go off the list, Adam would win everyone over with “I Believe in Miracles” the beautiful Pearl Jam version of the Ramones shocker. So catchy!

  16. Josh says:

Allison has to sing Love is a Battlefield. I have wanted to hear her sing that since week 1. Adam should do Somebody to Love by Jefferson Airplane, as Wizkid said. He would kill that song.

  17. bridgeymah says:

Speaking of songs – the Studio recording of Feeling Good is freaking absolutely smackdown all ears to the ground AMAZING.

The little electric piano blip at the beginning the note forever at the end. Totally his own version. Not a Muse or Nina in sight. Just next generation new wave glam with a dash of vegas fab sprinkled on top.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V4uHPDyBHy4

Glamtastic. Adamilicious. Adamacity at its best. Suck on that AI – B2 my ass!

  18. bridgeymah says:

And onto next week (already – sheesh I didn’t even get to breathe out more than twice)…

Ok then I’ll play. Bowie. end of story. Bowie flat out the only play left. Preferably a Ziggy era full on glamtastic screw you AI and Dumbfuckistan white bread voters version of what ever he sings.

Starts chant. We want Ziggy. We want Ziggy. We want Ziggy – hmmm think I might have to make a sign :-)

  19. sayrah says:

    i think adam will do…when doves cry-prince

  20. Mike says:

Since Adam is Mr. Cajones, I’m guaranteeing he takes on “Stairway to Heaven” which is ballsy to the extreme.

  21. bridgeymah says:

Mike: Since Adam is Mr. Cajones, I’m guaranteeing he takes on “Stairway to Heaven” which is ballsy to the extreme.

Well he already took on Born to Be Wild so Stairway to Heaven would be a walk in the park. But my money is on Gokey Pokey doing that one seeing he seems to think he has one in his backyard and has probably been practicing climbing it for years now…

  22. Mike says:

You know, it’s hard to hear the Adam fans from all the way in the Bottom 2.

  23. bridgeymah says:

Ahhh the gloat – so was waiting for that. Thanks would have been disappointed if you didn’t take up that opportunity.

  24. Mike says:

Try to remember who threw the first “attack” out there. In case you are wondering, that would be you.

    WHO little old ME?

I just got my studio download CD for Adams Feeling Good. This is by far THE MOST AMAZING VOCAL of any of Adams songs. Check it out and pass this on. CHILLZZZZ! I propose we campaign for everyone to listen to this and buy it.

I wish he would have sang this verson on Idol rather than pay so much attention to the performance.

    OH ADAM THIS IS STUNNING.

  27. bridgeymah says:

wizkid: OH ADAM THIS IS STUNNING.

Is so great isn’t it. Just so solidly all things Adam in one amazing recording read someone describe it as GLAM-JAZZ-ROCK-POP. Man is his own music genre.

  28. Mike says:

Gokey’s studio recording for this week is unbelievable. I’m looking for Kris and Allison’s right now.

  29. Mishka says:

Totally with you StevieNicks Fan. That would totally rock. But none of them seem to be listening to our advice so … maybe we’ll see Danny do Kiss, Allison doing the Beach Boys, Kris doing J J Cale & Adam doing the B52s or as Kara says, the B69ers!

    This came from Adam Fansite

    RECRUIT AN ARMY OF VOTERS22
For the next few weeks your mission is to recruit an ARMY of Adam Lambert voters.

Family, friends, talk to people on the streets, comment on blogs, forums, MySpace, etc. I have added a ‘ShareThis’ at the bottom of EVERY page. If you find a video or article you like, send it on your e-mail, twitter, aim, facebook, myspace, etc. The ShareThis tool at the bottom of every page is EXTREMELY effective and easy to use plus it takes only a few seconds. If you don’t understand how to use ShareThis Comment below and we will help you.

Make sure your friends, family and relatives know about Adam and vote for him. If each one on this site recruited in average 100 votes we would get Adam 1,000,000 extra votes. It is time to move the masses. Keep Adam Lambert’s name in everybody mind so they remember when they pick up that phone.

Be sure to wear Adam Lambert’s t-shirts from now on until he wins. There are plenty of places offering Adam Lambert’s goodies or you can find some here: http://adam-lambert.org/lambert-merchandise/

T-Shirts and pins are a great way to get a conversation started with random people at school. I do it all the time. Even today at the DMV I was talking to people about it. I hope you can do the same.

Finally, make sure you do not split your votes. I was guilty of this and I was also rooting for Allison… not anymore.

We CANNOT stand another week with the shame of Adam being on the bottom three. This was a huge wake up call. Please show your support on the comments below, share this article with other fans and let’s make sure that man crosses the finish line because HE WANTS TO WIN!!

EVERY E-MAIL, EVERY TWEET, EVERY AIM, EVERY COMMENT AND POST ON MYSPACE/FACEBOOK, EVERY PERSON AND EVERY VOTE COUNTS.

    ShareThis…tweet this.

    Adam:

    The Who – My Generation
    Aerosmith – Dream On

Not on the list, but I would give an arm and a leg to see what he could do with Five Man Electric Band’s “Signs” or The White Stripes’ “In the Cold, Cold Night.” And there’s always that wonderful Humble Pie rendition of “Hallelujah (I Love Her So)” that Adam could totally rock.

  32. bridgeymah says:

    Wiz Kid –

WORD – so exactly yes that.

  33. wizkid says:

sayrah: i think adam will do…when doves cry-prince

Yes, because right now he’s CRYING of a broken heart wondering how his fans could be letting him down, when he is doing so much for them.

We should CRY OUT too, to every blog, media outlet , idol site, friends, family, etc. Support our guy and our future entertainment for the next 20 years!

  34. bridgeymah says:

Hey just a thought but how about suggesting some songs from like I don’t know THIS CENTURY…

Man. HNN already paid homage to the rock gods of yore – Hello Satisfaction. Hello Born to Be Wild. What about some Red Hot Chilli Peppers, some Killers, some gee I don’t know there are so many options but of course AI in their grand stinginess will have a creaking antiquated list of overdone, over covered, over wrought pot boilers that give us nothing but heartburn through the long Idol night.

Ok yes feeling a bit jaded but come on people – can we pretty please acknowledge that some really good music has been made in the decades since the 70s and 80s for crying out loud.

  35. wizkid says:

    HELPING ADAM –
I just sent this note to 3 radio stations! Join in please!

I just downloaded the new studio cover “Feeling Good” that Adam Lambert performed on Idol. This is the most stunning vocal and arrangement that I’ve ever heard — taking an old song and making it current and into a showstopper. This version is different than the performance, if youve seen it, and is worth checking out.

Please consider playing this on the radio. You wont regret it!

  36. bridgeymah says:

Wizkid great idea. We used to do this for Ace’s friend Tha Vill. Strongly suggest anyone who floves this song (and who couldn’t is genius) send a note to your radio station. This song could be a hit on radio today – wondering what HNN album might be like.

    THIS!!!!

GLAM-JAZZ-ROCK-POP. Is a whole new genre.

  37. bob says:

adam – yesterday, its a mans mans world, bohemian rhapsody
allison – purple rain, noting compares 2 u
kris – every breath you take, when a man loves a woman, with or without you
danny – bridge over troubled water, heard it through the grapevine, a change is gonna come

    great list.

  38. bridgeymah says:

OK people here is my challenge to you all – come up with a list for each person that contains NO songs from before 1990. That nearly gives you two decades to work with, surely we can find some suggestions done by artists that are both still alive and still recording.

I will see what I can find – over to you. I know the chances of macstingies at 19 actually paying for the rights for anything post 1990 is so remote it should be an outpost in Antartica however a girl and dream on (and no that is not a reference to the Aerosmith ballad).

  39. Bill Mitchell says:

Let me express my frustration in advance.

Adam clearly would KILL “Sweet Child Of Mine” and “Dust In the Wind”. KILLLL them.

But there is a zero chance he will choose them. Look for the two most obscure songs on that list and you will have Adam’s choices.

Adam needs to undertsand that at this point in the competition he MUST APPEAL TO A BROAD AUDIENCE. He can be an artist AFTER he wins. He MUST GO COMMERCIAL. He must make Suzy Homemaker and Joe The JackHammer Operator say WOW and pick up the phone to vote for him. This means singing songs that those people HAVE ACTUALLY HEARD BEFORE. “Mad World” was great, but in the USA, a VERY OBSCURE song only made popular at all by an indie film.

So this week will be as much about good strategy as good singing.

P.S., From what I have heard, the Idols may have already chosen their songs for next week weeks ago. If Adam went obscure (I’m sure he did), he may have to make a course change.

  40. Fran says:

Ok so if they have to pick from the list these are my ideas

Adam-Whole Lotta Love, Back In Black (i just love this song though it’s probably not for Idol), When Doves Cry, Sweet Child Of Mine, All Along The Watchtower
Allison-Son Of A Preacher Man, One Way Or Another, Somebody To Love, Boys Of Summer
Kris-Layla, Moondance, With A Little Help From My Friends, Roxanne
    Danny-Wonderful World, Mustang Sally

Is it 100% confirmed that they are definetly singing 2 songs next week? As i can’t imagine how much filler there would need to be if there were only going to be 4 performances in 1 hour

  41. bridgeymah says:

Bill I would hardly call Born to Be Wild, Black and White, Ring of Fire, Feeling Good, etc obscure. Ok so Mad World was not super well known to Top 40 listening masses but come on – aren’t you talking about watering down his presentation to make it more “acceptable” to the masses and IMHO that is a lose lose.

The ones who hate you will always not matter what if he didn’t get em with IICHY and ToMT adding Dust in the Wind on the pile isn’t going to make a damn bit of difference. All he does is allienate the people who love and adore his fabulous glam next generation new wave self.

  42. bridgeymah says:

Let’s try a more MODERN list. 2000′s is probably asking too much so see what you all make of this list of top Rock songs of 1990′s.

    http://digitaldreamdoor.nutsie.com/pages/best_songs90s.html

    From this list:

Puppies and Rainbows can Mraz his little self all over- Smooth by Santana
Pebbles can growl through- Ironic by Alanis Morrisette
Gokey can get all Pokey over- Losing my religion by REM (too easy) or Tears in Heaven by Eric Clapton because we haven’t had that reference for a week or two.
HNN (because the Adam is built in)- Bittersweet Symphony by Verve (because he already went all rocked out on BTbW) and of course Guns and Roses would be too obvious.

Refuse to do two until I know they are doing two.

  43. Bill Mitchell says:

    bridgeymah,

If I want you to put words in my mouth, I’ll ask.

No, I am not saying Adam should “water down” his performances. I am just saying he should pick more mainstream songs that average people know and can relate to.

    JP: Easy, Bill

  44. bridgeymah says:

Wow – get up on the wrong side of the bed much. Ok – fine then I go back to my point about how much MORE mainstream could he have been. Aside from Mad World, and maybe PTFMWB pretty much all his songs have been well known in the mainstream, so I guess I am just not getting what you mean by mainstream.

Am always happy to be enlightened.

  45. Haley says:

I think Kris would do so well with While My Guitar Gently Weeps, but the Across the Universe version. It would really allow him to be in his element but also show an emotional, vulnerable side.

  46. Maree says:

I’m too freaked about this week to even think about next week. Hell, it hasn’t even aired here yet. I just checked online this morning and nearly had a heart attack. *praying* Here’s hoping this rallies the troops. I feel so powerless here in India.

  47. mdb123 says:

    David Bowie.
Space Odddity- Never been done before, probably never be done again (except by Adam who is the only one who can do this and do it right).
Changes – So many possibilites to play with on this song.
Rebel, Rebel – Who else but Adam can sing this and mean it.
Under Pressure – orig include Freddie Mercury
Modern Love – simply a favorite

  48. Kenzie says:

From this list / 2 songs each:
Allison: I Love Rock n Roll & I Can’t Make You Love Me
Danny: You’ve Lost That Loving Feeling & either Mustang Sally or Soul Man
Kris: Let It Be & Times Are A Changing…or something from the Beach Boys
Adam: Losing my Religion & either We Will Rock You/Walk This Way

  49. Doug says:

Something from the 90′s ill bite –

Adam – Collective Soul or Audioslave

Allison – No Doubt or Creed

  50. Bill Mitchell says:

Tell me this picture doesn’t tear your heart out. That’s the look of being brave as your dreams slip away:
