Long before Adam Lambert became famous as an American Idol finalist, he performed Shir Lashalom at a 2005 tribute concert to slain Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin.
Lambert, who has made it through to the last seven of the eighth season of American Idol, sang the famous peace anthem with Israeli-American singers Maya Haddi and Noa Dori.
Rabin also sang Shir Lashalom just before his assassination on November 4, 1995.
Lambert, who began his entertainment career as a stage actor aged 10, is being predicted by many to win the current season of American Idol, which ends on May 20.

Adam is fantastic – and I want to (JUST ONCE!) hear a straight (almost!) song from him on Idol, so the rest of the world can hear his FANTASTIC lower register also. Maybe not this week – but he needs to blow them away in the top 3 week or in the final. And he still needs to sing well enough to get there to do that!

No worries, sighsighsigh. Yes it has been discussed, but I’m never tired of Adam. I let my playlist run over and over. He has sooo many different sides. I am partial to ‘Kiss and Tell’, ‘Crawl thru Fire’(both originals) and his’I just love you’ cover. I can rave about most anything he does.
And everyone must hear Adam sing ‘Come to me, Bend to me’ from Brigadoon. Just sayin’
Anyone who gets angry with me about saying Adam needs to drop a few pounds needs only to look at this video to prove my point. Look how thin and nice his face looks here compared to now.
If Adam wants to be a superstar, he needs to be the best he can be and that includes looking his best. Sorry, but he needs to drop 20 lbs.
Bill – I’m not angry with you, I agree with you completely! I think 20 lbs would do it. I mean, he’s a gorgeous man, but the extra weight in his face and neck really age him, IMO. He needs to start working on it now, so he looks more slim and youthful for the post-Idol media blitz, which will be huge!
Isn’t there a work-out gym in that huge mansion?

I don’t think I agree about the weight issue, have you seen how tight the pants and shirts are that he is wearing? Believe me, if he had an extra 20lbs hanging around you could tell. He is very slim. And how do you loose 20lbs in the face and neck? And how does it “age” him? He looks 28 to me. You guys are nitpicking. Adam is Glamtastic!
I’m with HMMMMMMMMM.
I think some of his outfits are more flattering than others, though. Black or White getup was hot, Ring of Fire (though I loved the performance) not so much. He looked out of proportion or beefed up or something. My sister thought he’d suddenly gone on steroids.
In general, though, I wouldn’t change a hair of him.
Steroids! Ha. They would bring him before the House Committee on…well, whatever the Committee was that that made baseball and all-around idiot Roger Clemons testify.
That said, I must agree with Bill. HNN is in no way chubby; however, he didn’t look so great in ToMT, despite what Paula said. Okay, he definitely looked classy, but the suit was too tight on him. Maybe it depends on what he is wearing; however, he is trim and GORGEOUS in his “Is Anybody Listening” video. Swoonage. I’m not complaining, I just want him to look as svelte as possible. And yes, he did look great in BoW. I love his emo hair, though, so maybe that impacted it.

I had a thinner face at 22 also, and I think you did to Bill.
Adam is thin, take a look at the pic of him in white fitted shirt and jeans. Not an ounce of fat. I still really think it’s health related. Maybe hypothyroidism (myxedema), or dehydration (causing edema) or allergies (I used to have hugely puffy eyes for years till I found out I was allergic to wheat).
Seriously he should check it out.
So we are back to Adam’s weight again, hmmm? Funny, this sort of topic usually involves female performers. I am not used to seeing a male’s mildly fluctuating weight such a hot topic. I am more amused than angry, so don’t misread my comments. That being said, remember that he isn’t on “Make me a Supermodel.” The amount of stress, lack of sleep, etc. must wear on all of them, and it probably makes it tough for them to always eat right and exercise. He has enough to worry about right now. Let’s cut him some slack, please? He already has enough to worry about, especially with the endless “Can a gay win AI” crap, not to mention his front runner status. We know from his weekly confessionals that he is a bit high strong and has trouble sleeping. He doesn’t need to start obsessing about his weight too.
And yes, I do see my typo’s. I so wish we could edit our comments here! LOL…
I like “The Prayer” more but I skipped all the lines of the girl. Didn’t like her parts haha.
they all seemed to have gained some weight since moving to the mansion and those stocked fridges….. lol! Danny is quite heavy for instance and Alison has gained some – even Anook (sic) face seems larger. The only one who has not gained seems to be Lil but her weight is in an area that is very difficult to lose.
Adam is amazing and I will be first in line to buy any cd he puts out…. His voice is beyond compare…..It isn’t just his voice though it is the passion – the feeling – he puts into the words he sings.
He deserves to win and I hope he does.
I hope I didn’t come across as harsh earlier because, believe me, I think Adam still looks fabulous.
It’s all moot anyway, because once they get out on the tour, don’t they all end up losing weight? LOL
I actually think Allison has lost quite a bit of weight since Hollywood week. She always looks great, though.
Re: TOMT, no one looks good in shiny suits, which is why they were canceled when Miami Vice was.
If Adam wears a white 70s suit, ala Saturday Night Fever, and sings Staying Alive, I’m not sure what I’ll do. He did 70s with PTFM, so I’ll think he’ll stay away from that genre from now on.
Who cares about a few pounds. He looks great, he has a wide bone structure in his face like both his parents so any weight at all goes straight there first (I have same issue). He is not 20llbs over weight LMAO Bill.
