You haven’t seen me before on the board. I’m new. With that, my input on the song choices.

After some painful research (and I do mean painful – Chicago gives me headache), here’s my input.

Kris Allen
Heaven
Still as sappy as I remember. I would prefer “Have You Ever Really Loved a Woman” (sounds more “adult), but I don’t know if that was released in Kris’s birth year. But this seems like a safe song choice for Kris.

Lil Rounds
Let’s Hear It For the Boy
Bad song choice. Needs some major remixing, and I haven’t heard Lil do that yet this season. This could very well get her in the bottom 2.

Adam Lambert
Edge of Seventeen
There are so many ways he could go with this song. I’m hoping it will focus on his lower register with some soaring falsetto. This could be his “Billie Jean” moment of the season.

Scott MacIntyre
You’re the Inspiration
I’m not a Chicago fan, so this was painful for me to listen to. But because I couldn’t stand Peter Cetera’s voice. Scott’s voice isn’t as good as the other Idols, but it doesn’t have that whiney undertone like Cetera either. Scott could do well with this.

Anoop Desai
Who’s Johnny
Oh boy. Bad song choice. I see no way Anoop can work this into a good song choice. Hope Anoop goes with something else.

Matt Giraud
Part Time Lover
Dated music, dated lyrics. Hope this pick is wrong.

Allison Iraheta
Tears in Heaven
Good song choice. She has to do it extremely simple though.

Danny Gokey
Crazy Little Thing Called Love
Fun song. Could be good. Queen would seem right up Adam’s alley, but this son in particular was in Freddy’s lower register so Danny could do quite well with it.
