Kris is roommates and friends with Adam. I highly doubt he is VERY anti-gay.
what’s with the “touching himself” comments about Adam… I don’t think hes going to be corrupting any young minds with a couple of brushes of a hand down his side. People make it sound like he is rubbing his crotch in front of pre-schoolers.

HMMMMM…so to jmtaw’s comment, it appears Kris may take away votes from Danny instead? And, according to Dial Idol they’re on top, which tells you the mainstream is pretty strong/huge. When one of them goes, then Adam may have some challenges for the final. Unless of course he does his “Is Anybody Listening”. Which will blow anybody away.

theres so much interesting things to say about that, first off, not that im against christians, I’ll just say no one should be judged and gays should NOT be hated or disliked because of that. with that said, its very funny that kris shares a room with adam and he seems very fond of adam who may or may not be gay, but is rumored to be, also in hollywood week kris was pictured sitting next to adam. Obviously Kris is accepting of him whether or not he is gay, and I’m sure if kris is getting a gay vote, then its only cause they think he is cute or they like the mushy songs he picks, i would think allison lil or adam would get the gay vote..not sure..

what century are we in? i feel like we’re back watchin elvis on tv and ppl are offended by seeing him shake his “pelvis” come on ppl loosen up..dear god, we got ppl releasing sex tapes, and ppl can say “bitch” and “ass” on tv, but adams dancing or touching is too controversial? HELLO, are we all that conservative?..good lord, i hope not! i cant stand conservatives..
Yup…and in the same light, Christians should not be disliked, hated, or judged either, just because they are Christians…which we know occurs. A real practicing Christian practices love, not condemnation, though they may disagree. It appears that both Kris and Danny are doing just that, and that Adam (if he is gay) is also doing the same.
Perhaps the rest of the planet should follow suit!!

Just because ppl release sex tapes or say things on TV does not make it pleasing, classy, or otherwise tasteful. Because ppl get used to poor taste does not elevate it, on the contrary, it just brings them to the level of white trash.
And, oh, your comment about not “standing conservatives” is just the example of what I am talking about. You want ppl to tolerate your opinions or way of life, but YOU DONT TOLERATE THEIRS.

i think we should all have respect for all.And accept all lifestyles as long as they are not harming anyone. It shouldnt even be about the religion or lifestyle, its a singing competition, and truthfully its none of our business, but i feel close to the contestants cause we’re voting for them each week, so of course we want to know more about them and there personal lives so its hard to not run into this problem and say that maybe you decide because of someones personal decisions you dont like them,. but would you still vote for them?
I think adam always seems respectful as does kris, danny thats a different story..i think he acts cocky..
I agree. I love this site, the different range of topics, from politics a couple of days ago to religion lol. And who cares about Adam’s crotch grabbing, there are far worse things going on in television.
well, its my belief, I mean simple dancing, I barely notice him “touching himself” for ppl to say that is vulgar, is a bit too conservative. What I meant by cursing and sex tapes is that ppl are becoming accepting of that more and more watch day, all I’m saying is that some dancing like that is not vulgar and if it was too inappropriate the producers wouldn’t allow that to be shown. It shouldnt be an issue. Ppl can dance. And, no I cannot stand ppl that are TOO conservative. I respect them, but I dont care for it.
thank you jason..thats the point im trying to make..crotch grabbing, dancing,ect. is not harming anybody. Its very innocent. It may be a lot of things but it wasnt vulgar or anything. and if you do feel it is inappropriate and would like to protect the innocence of your eyes, you can just as easily turn the cahnnel or fast forward. you could go to VH1 and see ALOT worse than crotch grabbing lol..

hear hear – just pop over to iTunes and have a peek at the top videos – more booty shaking than an 8.7 earthquake and the minute a guy moves his hands anywhere near his body its not “appropriate” – to who exactly. I know kids watch but I am pretty sure they see more inappropriate things in any number of places – can we get a grip.
I always have to laugh when people get all uptight about a bit of sexuality, but are totally happy to have their kids play violent video games and watch mature rated movies. Does the totally twisted nature of that not seem totally screwy to people.
However, I do NOT practice “hate” for conservatives, my boyfriend is one and so is my dad. I live in the south, they are common down here. i would even describe myself as somewhat conservative, not a republican or nothing..but I just cannot stand the over the top conservatives who are arguing about someone dancing as they perform.

i feel the same, i mean my sister is 11 and her fav show is FAMILY GUY..that show shocks me with some of the parodies it makes..when she watches american idol she is bored outta her mind..lol..plus kids today are seeing so much more than shaking or touching and dancing.
sexuality is not wrong, it is normal ad healthly, the man is fully clothed. Watch a rap video for heavens sake..

And for those alluding that he grabs his crotch – anatomy classes all around, have only see him do that in the Crazy video which was definitely not meant to be an all ages performance.

bridgeymah, Talkin only about idol … you must have forgotten the “Satisfaction” run the hand down the leg crotch grap, or the “Ring of Fire” rub myself lift up my shirt thing. Most of the time the camera man quickly pulls the camera away so it does not get captured for the audience. And hey, Michael Jackson was already a mega star, Adam is trying to become one. And look where Michael is now.!
And just cuz your thrilled your 11 year old sister can watch raunchy stuff does not make it beneficial it just shows how numb/hardened we have become.

I was just referring to tonight specifically as it didn’t seem particularly offensive… but got to say call out the police someone ran a hand down their leg and oh god the horror a grown man showed an inch of bare midriff. I repeat – get a grip people.

But, as for me, I LOVE Adam Lambert not because of who he may or may not be or in spite of who or what he may be or do outside of idol. I do not discrimnate for anything about him, because I am not the judge and I appreciate him only for his vocal quality/abilities, his percieved humility and kindness (personality) and his gift of entertainment. Yea, hes not too bad to look at either. So, does this make me over the top conservative? If so, so be it.
Adam and Allison are especially getting the gay votes (a lot of them anyway). Lil as well? oh, didn’t know that
I read from TWoP that Adam’s dad said that he had to change his song on Monday.
Adam’s PTFM was not his first choice. No wonder the spoiler was way off. Perhaps he wanted to sing Crazy, but the song was not cleared.
Anyway, Adam did awesome last night, and brought the house down.

I wouldn’t lump all “the gays” in Adam’s camp. Three of my gay friends are on the Kris train, not Adam’s. If he was more of the “broadway Adam” they would like him more. Just sayin….
BTW, it’s being posted that Adam’s Dad said that PTFM was a last minute choice, as his first song choice couldn’t get cleared.
Newsflash. Danny is the favorite now and will likely win. When Lil gets the boot, who will pick up those votes? Danny. Adam could still win by leading among the other fanbases, though. Should be a fun final. Might as well book it now.

Since i’m not entirely lame I didn’t read all the responses but what I did read, I don’t know anyone that likes Adam and none of those people have really any religious affiliation at all (a couple are even gay) the people I know just aren’t into screaming dragqueens (and drag and gay are 2 different things so don’t pull that homophobic card on me). Not everyone is easily manipulated by the show’s weird and unjust obbession with Adam. And grabbing your crotch is innappropriate when the main audience is little kids!!!

I agree…many like the singing broadway versions. If Adam keeps on his “cleaned up” swager and keeps singing some ballads in between he has a chance to win. If he diverts back to the over the top and “darker” numbers he will not. Right or wrong, the masses prefer what you and your gay friends do. So do i.
Adam looked so happy tonight and I love when he said “whoa” after he finished. This show would be so boring without him. His star presence is unmatched. PERIOD.
Danny gokey is so mediocre.
I did just watch back Adam’s performance – specifically watching for him to “grab his crotch” – and nope. He never did. He grasped his belt a couple of times – more on the side – but not once did he reach down and touch himself inappropriately.
If you don’t like Adam – that’s fine. But don’t spread false rumors and lies around the internet like it’s gospel. The legal terms is called Libel – you’re dragging Adams reputation through the mud and you need to stop.

I love Danny – he’s got a unique gravely tone to his voice. When he’s performing well he’s fabulous.
I love Adam because of his flamboyancy. He’s not just a singer – he’s the whole package. My concern is he’s a bit too much for the American Idol fans – eventually he’s got to cater to a more Pop sound or he’s going to be in trouble. He’d be corrupted by TPTB if he did win Idol – for his career he’d be best coming in third and able to produce an album HE wants to produce and not the bubblegum pop that Idol produces.

also..you said idol’s main audience is kids. i think thats false. I do not know any kids that watch idol. I know alot of middle aged 18-35 that watch it and some oldies. but no kids..and im not thrilled that my sister watches family guy but guess what comes on the cartoon channel? family guy, futurama, all that stuff…atleast she’s not playing video games all day!
Dont know where I said Idol is watched by kids. I dont think it is, but I think Idol thinks it is. Hence their catering to that aweful singer Miley. And hey, I’m not making a big deal about the “thigh rubbing stuff”, only agreeing with whoever said it wasnt that tasteful. Personaly, tasteful or not, I dont think its the smartest action based on the mass audience.
Oh, and Willo, not sure if many are aware, but ALL Idol contestants are under the same contract. If they come in 1st or 5th they are still bound by Idol unless Idol releases them. As Idol surely will not release Adam (they know his value) he benefits most from winning.

Re contracts, even though they are all under the same one, only the winner ends up having to sing whatever cheeseball winners song they come up with aka the thing that will haunt them for the first couple of years of their career. The rest, if they actually keep them under contract, get a bit more freedom with their albums. Which is I am pretty sure why #2 quite often out performs #1 in the short and long-term…
i totally agree..therefore, i dont know if i want adam to win, i want him to come in second, def, but he would have no freedom and end up singing crap that isnt him..
Well…not sure whats 100% accurate on the contracts since none of us really sees them. But, yea, several #2′s did better, but often because they were just better and should have won (ie Clay Aiken, Daughtry etc.) Some of the winners did bad because they were voted on popularity, not because they were the best singers and performers and over time popularity does not sell records, singing does. So, if Clay or Daughtry had won, they may have been even bigger– dont know. But, one thing for sure, if you go big with Idol you go really big (Kelly, Carrie, David) and they have a lot more clout and publicity (which is worth $$$). I hope Adam goes big. Well…we know he will no matter what.
