Dial Idol was pretty “telling” last night. If TPTB put the acutal bottom three in the bottom for the results show, then here’s the bottom 3:
Now, while I do not believe that AI messes with the actual bottom person, I do believe that they mess with the bottom 3. So, While Allison, Alexis and Megan probably won’t all be in the bottom three, one of these gals will be going home tonight. One of these three will not make the tour.
I also believe in the accuracy of Dial Idol. While the bottom listed contestant may not go home that is because of the margin of error. However, if a contestant is in the Green then that means they are safe beyond the margin of error.
That’s putting an awful lot of stock in Dial Idol. Even in the past year, the availability and usage of Text Messaging has sky-rocketed. I am 26 and RARELY talk with friends on the phone… 99% of my communication is through text. I only know 2 people without unlimited texts (a year ago, I prolly KNEW 2 people with unlimited texting)… I think that’s going to skew Dial Idol’s results without a doubt.
Allison was at the bottom last week also… But her fan base could be the Miley Generation who a.) aren’t using Dial Idol and who text like CRAZY. I have a 18 year old brother who goes through 3,000 texts a month.
I think Dial Idol gives you an idea, but I wouldn’t base much of anything on it.
Being Green means 100% that tey are safe. I fully believe in the accuracy. Being yellow shows that there is a margin of error. could be Megan, Alexis or Allison going home. One of them will be going home.
I think Allison can be saved by the texters… We’ll see! Since I live on the West Coast, I’ll be checking out the live blogs tonight because I can’t wait to see what’s gonna happen.
Do you think they will save one of these girls, or wait to save someone like Matt Giraud if he needs it 1 night? Which hopefully he wont need it
I honestly don’t think so noopdoggfan, I think it is pretty telling this early on America isn’t feeling these 3 girls over the others, and it would be stupid to use the save in the top 11
Megan should be the one going home. She is terrible, and can only do one style of music(and she doesn’t even do that great). If she makes it and Allison goes home, I will be so mad. However, God knows that if Megan goes home, the judges will use their save on her.
I know that TEXT messaging my be “your thing” but I don’t see the telephone being replaced by that technology anytime soon. As for dial-idol, you have to understand that what they are doing is sampling and predicting. Your text messages don’t have any effect on the validity of those samples. If you don’t understand what sampling is, it may be that you are part of the “Miley Generation.” Its a wonder you can read or add and subtract so forget about this post. You will never be able to….like…get it…OK?
