How does this all work? If they don't sing I don't see the point. I guess, for the contestants, they HAVE to hang around just on the chance they are picked but it does seem cruel. Make some people hang around for 3 weeks and not give them another chance to sing, assuming that people from the first week MAKE the wildcard and don't make the final 12, of course. Just seems pointless to be and a blah show that would leave everyone feeling empty and cheated (fans and contestants) at the end of it. That being said, how could the judges, on the air, make that decision or is the whole thing taped and then they splice it together to make it fit one hour with the 'results' not actually being live. Now, if the viewers got another chance to vote, it eoulf be different, but the way it will go, just skip the performance show--maybe that will show the Idol producers what a pathetic idea this was--and then just hope your favorite (e.g., Ricky) gets the chance he or she deserves.
