GEORGE….Stop posting with different accounts. It looks to me like you GUESSED!!!! Email me the song choices. I will post them. If they are correct you can come back and post…..deal?
I’m gonna predict that Adam, Matt, and Jasmine get through from group 2. In group 3, Lil, Felicia(or Kristen), and Scott.
I tend to follow the dialidol site during the evening. In the first 15 minutes after voting started Michael Sarver had the second most busy signals at sick 20. Now, at that point, Danny was close to 50 on their voting system and Alexis was in the teens. Realize at this point everyone else had close to 0% busy signals. Now, say what you like about that site but, at the end of the evening their picks would have been, neglecting the margin of error, Danny Gokey, Michael Sarver and Alexis Grace, in that order!
The questions I have about Michael Sarver are:
(1) How did he leap ahead so much at the beginning giving him an almost insurmountable lead over Anoop?
(2) How did this guy win with average performances compared to other singers in the top 20 of this competition (let’s not count all 36 because we know there are some clunkers in there)? He has no fan base (his friends are oil rig workers who are not among the demographic this show is about). He has no Sanjyay affect as he is a white guy, who is a happily married 20 something oil rig worker. He has only decent looks, unless you like rugged good looking guys which, again, doesn’t represent the demographic of this show. Plus, he was competing with Brent Keith who should have diluted his vote even mor since they shared a lot of the same traits.
Hey, he wasn’t that bad, to be sure. But Ricky Braddy was FAR superior and Anoop was slightly better, had what I thought was a stronger fan base as he was the most Sanjyay guy in the group last night and should have pulled in voters who liked his singing as well as the 15 year old girl vote.
Hey, I can see how Mr. anonymous Ricky Braddy was put in this position by the producers but how did Michael Sarver beat out one of the judges’ favorites, Anoop, when Anoop was at least good last night with a history of great on this show? And how was he essentially out of it very early in the voting, or at least hugely behind?
None of it makes any sense to me and, from watching this show for years now while it isn’t always right it is usually explainable.
This tonight? Not right, not explainable and not good.
But one thing is really true. If groups 2 and 3 are watching this they are probably much more nervous now because, frankly, Anoop being available (and Ricky and Tatiana and Anne Marie, for that matter) means that there are probably only 2 spots left in the wildcard round with those spots already being spoken for pretty strongly by the other three.
I said from the beginning that there was a 50-50 chance that 2 or 3 of the wildcard people will come out of this group and now I feel even more strongly about it.
I totally agree with everything you wrote! Thank you for posting.
Joe, i was confused why ryan said “You Are Not in the Top 12″ because technically they all still have a chance at making the top 12 with the wild card right? so why would ryan say that?
I know, Ashley. Why didn’t he say “your journey is over”..makes no sense.
GROUP 2: Adam Lambert, Allison Iraheta and Kris Allen.
GROUP 3: Nate, Lil and Von.
I don’t spoil you song choices? I didn’t do it.
From what I have read, seen and heard of these people, if no one totally tanks it:
Group 2: Kai, Adam and Jasmine or Megan
Group 3: Jorge, Ju’not (sp?) and Lil
I have my idea of who the wildcards would be but I’ll wait until I see if there are any other upsets.
Anyone have any spoilers about the wildcard round and how it will work? Will they make the people sing again and, if so, how can they do that in an hour?
I think they’re doing wildcard like season 1, only because I see wildcard as one day (Thursday). I’m assuming that only judges will get to choose after having a few of the contestants sing again. It might not be 12 since the first season only had 5 or 6 sing again. You know what sucks? I have a feeling that guys will get the 3rd spot in the next 2 rounds since guys get more female votes. My theory is that at the end of the 3 weeks, it will be 6 guys and 3 girls with the 3 wildcard slots left. My fear is that they will move on 3 girls in the wildcard because the judges (or quite possibly the producers) love have an equal amount of girls and guys and that means Anoop and Ricky might get brought back but they won’t be added to the final top 12! I hope this is just my paranoia and not realty! What do you think?
I’ve been writing about idol on my personal blog since Season 1 – and I have NEVER seen such a huge number of hits come in for one contestant before. Sure – when Idol airs I’ve gotten the random hit from people looking up their favorite – but just today my numbers have jumped up by 2000% – and EVERYONE is looking for information on Danny & Sophia Gokey. It’s unreal – and tells me that unless Danny messes up BIG time – he will go pretty far in the competition. He’s got a huge fan base.
As far as the next groups – don’t leave out Mishannova just yet. I listened to some of her songs from her previous label – and this little girl can sing. I’ve got my fingers crossed she moves on to the Top 12. I also would love to see Kai move on – but going up against Adam and Matt G – that’s going to be REALLY difficult.
From Group 3 – the only talent in MHO is Lil and Scott. Wait – let me rephrare that – the only talent good enough for THIS season. I don’t think the others have the chops to make it far in the Top 12. Von will do great in Broadway – that’s his niche.
I’d love to see Nick Mitchell as a wild card – but I really need to see him sing as NICK. I need to hear his true voice and not the comedy voice. I think it’s there .. we just haven’t heard it yet.
I’m also looking forward to hearing the young lady we have not seen yet – Jeanine. I really think the Producers have been hiding her so they have the WOW factor when she’s featured for the first time.
OK … that’s my two cents.
The one girl who makes it through next week (lets face it, with Adam, Matt G. and Kris, there’s no chance for two chicks unless they all do well) could really be any of them.
Depending on who does best, expect to see Allison, Jasmine, Jeanine, or Mishavonna make it through. Jasmine has the gift of airtime, but the other three are all better singers.
Jesse and Megan are both talented, but their votes will split with one-another, and with Alexis making it through, fans may be looking for a girl with a big voice this time around. Or, if they’re looking for country, Mishavonna is key.
For me, group three is gonna be tough on the ladies. With Lil Rounds locking a spot (bleh), Felicia, Kristen, and Taylor will all have to fight to even hope getting a second spot. Scott MacIntyre will lock for the guys.
Group Two : Adam Lambert, Jasmine Murray, Matt Giruad.
Group Three : Lil Rounds, Scott MacIntyre, Felicia Barton (she’s gonna get so much positive feedback if she does even modestly well).
Wildcard picks : Ann Marie Boskovitch, Anoop Desai, or Taylor Vaifanaua.
America sucks.
I wonder what the chances (as low as they may be) of the Idol producers saying “Screw it, let’s make the top 12 into top 14 because there is so much talent.” One can only dream.
Chad – I’ve been thinking it will be more than 12 this Season – but without knowing the end date of the show I don’t know. I guess I need to figure out when the last day of Spring Sweeps is this year – it’s changed because of the DTV conversion. But if Sweeps ends the last week in May – that works out to be 12 weeks of finals shows.
I agree that it will be more than 12. ESPECIALLY because we don’t know the end date. This way, all FOUR judges can make their pick and then maybe they will throw in America’s Wild Card like they did with Clay…
Group 2 is a lock for Matt G and Adam, both of whom are fantastic.
The girl spot is up for grabs. I hope it goes to Megan, Allison or Jasmine.
Group 3 is a lock for Lil. The guy spot is up for grabs I hope by Jorge. The last spot in this group I want Arianna, her voice really impressed me in the clips we’ve seen of her. I personally think Scott’s voice is very overrated…he seems like a really nice guy and it’s sad that he has a disability but I just do not like his voice, it sounds a bit nasal to me and like he;s trying too hard. Maybe the sympathy vote will put him through though.
As for wild cards I think Anoop and Ricky are definately in. Hopefully the last spot will go to Allison, Megan or Jasmine, whichever doesnt make it in Group 2. Anyone could suprise us though, nerves play a big part!
Just my 2 cents, thanks!
My guesses for week two:
Guy: Adam Lambert
Girl: Jasmine Murray
Third: Matt Giraud
Outside chance: Nick Mitchell (unlikely, but who knows? I never would have guessed Michael. I was sure Anoop or Ricky were going to be the third highest vote getter)
I am not ready to guess week three yet. I can only take it one week at at a time. I mean, Alexis, to me, came out of nowhere.
Very interesting post, thanks for the information, will back to your site frequently
