For the girls it’s anyones game, but for the guys there are some clear front-runners. Since Ricky hasn’t had much air time check him out online and you’ll definitely like what you hear!

now for the girls i think you are off by quite a bit. i think alexis, anne, casey, and tatiana are all cannon fodder. we’ve all seen girls like alexis on the show, they try to be edgy but they arent and it comes off horribly. anne is pretty but not as pretty as casey(imo) and her voice isnt anything to get excited over. casey is a cute face with a cute voice but no real range from anything i’ve seen and i think she’ll choose a bad song since she doesnt have many that would make her look good. tatiana chooses good songs but if you listen to her last audition and then listen to whitney doing the original it’s even more of a joke then normal when people try whitney songs, and on top of that she has been insanely annoying. so imo that leaves us with jackie and stevie fighting for the top spot, listen to stevie’s first audition singin “at last” when her voice picks up, theres something really incredible in there and i think she’ll show that in the first show. jackie seems talented and has had some decent exposure making her more of a favorite then the other girls but i think she’s a little too weird this early and will push votes away since people only seem to vote for that once it has been clearly earned with great performances to back it up. my pick for the girls is stevie wright by a fairly big margin, i think her voice is miles ahead of anyone else in that group and if she chooses a song that shows her off right she’ll probably get more votes then anyone regardless of gender.

the one thing im worried about with anoop and danny though is people assuming one of them is in no question and then voting for their second favorite. i hate when that happens.

Anyway…I really dislike this new format. This first group is way too strong compared to the other two, in what I consider to be a ratings ploy. The guys are so good; the girls are okay, but not as strong, as most of us have pointed out. And I REALLY do not like the fact that the judges get to decide final wild cards.

I am so puzzled about this season to date, I really am. If you’re going with this format, you NEED to spotlight everyone. On So You Think You Can Dance, it’s a bit similar with Top 20, EXCEPT that they devote a lot of time to each dancer in segments when the pairs are determined (though it’s still slanted unfairly, IMO).

I don’t know, but I think Ricky or Anoop is going to end up on the outside (I could be wrong, but I think Danny is a lock, and I’m going to vote for him, b/c I don’t want a Daughtry situation so early on). I like Brent but he doesn’t have a shot, IMO, with zero face time, and that’s a shame. And if Tatiana does make it to the next round, that’s it for the season for me. I’ll just replay the shows from S7 until next January.

I really think that Danny has it in the bag, b/c of the press he’s gotten and b/c, honestly, I think he has a great voice, and I am not alone in thinking that by any means. Anoop has gotten plenty of airtime, too, and has a strong following. I have heard both Brent Keith and Ricky Braddy, and I would go for Ricky (wild card) over Brent. Stephen forgetting the lyrics and storming off stage sealed the deal for me (no go), and Michael seems like a nice guy but is just an okay singer. I am really surprised that Brent and Ricky have gotten NO air time; why?! If Paula is such a fan of Ricky’s, why hasn’t she pushed for more airtime? Very strange.

As for the girls, I am an Ann Marie fan, but I would go all guys if given the chance. I don’t think Tatiana has a shot, even if the Vote for the Worst viewers come out in force (and they already plan to). Casey is okay–I don’t like Jackie, though I know a lot of others do–but I can’t get excited about any of them, sad to say. I think they can bring three back at the end of the three weeks, so I think Brent or Ricky will be brought back (or I wouldn’t be surprised if one was). The guys are far stronger than the boys this year, a little surprising, given that Cook, Archuleta, and Castro made up last year’s Top 4, so I expected stronger girls this year.
