so in response to all the judgment as in…I am a drama queen, crazy, fake. Honestly, I don’t think anyone can imagine the kind of hurt people were trying to inflict on me during the taping of hollywood week and how long it went on and how intesne and relentless it was. Seriously that was ten minutes of DAYS HOURS OF PEOPLE HUMILIATING ME AND STABBING ME. Alot of people were ganging up on me…calling me hurtful sick names, speaking ill of me, and overall attempting to ruin my career that I have been working on for 24 years since I have been born. Reminder, most of these people have never performed, nor cared about performing or entertainment before vs this is my life and again I don’t think anyone can Imagine the kind of hurt I have faced in this industry as a woman.I have been trying to break into this industry as an independent artist for over a decade vs people who thought… “Maybe Ill try out for American Idol and sing and whatever who knows!!” Its not…”who knows??” for me… It’s what I live for. I was not raised spoiled, In fact my parents were very hard on me and taught me to fetch for myself. I have been on my own since I was 16 working on this career and facing every sort of demon you could imagine. Encountering countless tragedies, natural disasters, deaths and violent crimes in my personal life and injustices and prejudices as a woman and as a Latina in this industry. I have survived many life threatening situations and have been through my fair share of deep hard knocks that no one could understand. It has been a painful and devastating process getting to where I am, and the thought that all that I have worked for could be blown and I could get cut and be the laughing stock of national television because of some people I just met, insulting me, blaming me for their own lack of talent and drive, sitting around moping and complaining and pointing fingers and wasting time, drove me to my melting point after HOURS/DAYS of trying to pull everything together with a smile on my face. I went to talk to the producer to tell him how I felt and why I was upset and I ended up in VERY REAL tears. These people called me “Satan” yelled at me and blamed me for things that never happened ALL ON NATIONAL TELEVISION. It was humiliating. I am sorry I tried to change groups but felt unwelcome and I tried to bring my group together knowing how much they hated me for NO REASON. I was trying to be a leader and contribute but I was put down and humiliated for doing what no one else would do. In the end WE ALL GOT THROUGH AS YOU COULD SEE.
I WANT PEOPLE TO KNOW THAT THOSE EMOTIONS ARE VERY REAL. TO FINALLY MAKE MY DREAMS COME TRUE AND FEEL AS GRATEFUL AS I FEEL…IS EMOTIONAL AND DEEPLY HUMBLING AND SPIRITUAL.
I have taken alot of risks in opening myself up with part of my story here on myspace, but I will really make it my priority to open up to people on the show so that they can see the real me and know that If anything is coming out “fake” or whatever…is only because I use the smiles to hide the true pain of all that I have endured and survived in my ever challenging past.
I am ready for a new chapter in my life. I am ready for things to be calm, peaceful and plentiful.
I am ready to work and connect with America through this show and I am so exited to be able to show the world what I have to offer as a vocalist and an artist.
It was an emotional journey, Hollywood Week, and I hope that this can clear up any doubts anyone might have of me and my personality. I am deeply grateful for this opportunity and honored to be given this once in a lifetime chance.

I don’t think so.
You so need to get a grip on your emotions or you are going to be one of the first ones cut. There are a lot of stories just like yours and if you keep on being overly dramatic and acting they way you are, no one is going to want to see or hear you. Get a grip!

This girl’s immaturity and passion for drama is unfathomable. She should have spent more time on her education and learning to communicate/write better. Her singing career is a “never gonna happen” situation and she will need those vital skills to get through life. Hard life??? I doubt it if she was a pagaent kid. Those things cost big bucks. I know this sounds harsh but she is not the next American Idol!
The girl is delusional. She and bikini girl are similar, yet not so. Bikini girl I think is the way she is because she has low self-esteem. Tatiana, on the other hand, really seems to not be able to get enough of herself. I cannot wait to see the drama that ensues.
Too funny. This girl is completely whack even when she is trying to explain how she isn’t whack. One of those rare truly insane people you meet.
I’m sure she is Top 36 just for the drama. You can bet she will argue with the judges over every criticism. She is cannon fodder – no way she makes Top 24.
The most annoying contestant I have ever seen on this show. Can you say nails scraping down a chaulkboard? I can’t wait to see her booted. She made it this far because of the drama…which will be why she gets voted off. We can take only so much. One good performance will not make her an “idol”. I would NEVER purchase one of her songs. GET A GRIP Tatiana- you don’t know what a hard life is.

Tatiana acts very strange. I heard on the radio that american idol hired her and I’m starting to believe it. No one acts that over the top. Also on her myspace it says she has sang all over the world including the grammy’s with gnarles barkley. Clearly she is not new to music and I think she is a fake for the show.

Tatiana is the best thing to happen to AI ever. Such emotion, such drama, such hysterics all for the price of one. YEAH TATIANA!!!!
The other contestants obviously hate this annoying beyotch more than I do, but not by much. Vote for the Worst will probably support her and she’ll be kept alive until the top 12 and people who are really good will be gone. All I can hope for is that her emotional outbursts take a toll on her voice and she’s unable to perform. If that doesn’t work, maybe her roomies will smother her with a pillow.
The last two paragraphs pretty much confiremd that she was in the top 36. That is clearly against the rules.
She should have also been disqualified (there is still time, even if it means shuffling the groups around) and replaced by someone like Angela Martin or Frankie Jordan (if it has to come from the top 54).
Sadly – I get the vibe that this is NO act – - – but rather a truly sick individual. She is more than a bit creepy – and I wouldn’t want to be her roommate.
She makes me very nervous, and I feel uncomfortable watching her (a bit like staring at a person with a known disability)!
I COMPLETELY agree. I love the semi-crazies, but this chick is wacko. Completely unstable. She will have to be committed when shes’ gone on Wed.
I feel sorry for the girl and am really looking forward to finding out more FACTS about her personal life. Struggling to understand a person that doesn’t realize that “NO ONE LIKES ME FOR A REASON!”…it is very sad! I also think that American Idol is using this vulnerable girl (who no doubt is asking for it) to keep us glued to the TV to watch her be dissed publicly….shame on us! LOL!

Tatitana is the main reason I’ll keep wacthing Idol this season. She is entertaining, a very talented singer, a bit annoying in an interesting way, and extremely sexy.
i went to school with this girl in New York… She dropped out after first year when she realized she couldn’t hang with all the other dedicated musicians at one of the world’s finest music conservatory’s… the drama on the show, well its the same stuff when she was at school. it was absolutely unreal. She has a great voice, but her drama kills it for everyone.
When Tatiana first auditioned I thought her to be very conceited to the point of being envious. It is true that many people want to be the best but she was overdoing it and I didn’t like her laugh and attitude. But this week she seemed to mellowed down a bit. Someone or others must have spoken to her. No one is perfect. One does not completely know what is inside people and what and how they are feeling and what hurts they have experienced. Tatiana probably wants to prove to herself and others that she can be successful through the public. Many people who go through hard times turn to entertainment and nothing is wrong with that. Entertainment gives many a relief and is a good escape. We must be less judgmental and more epathetic. If no one likes her laughing and singing, put on ear plugs. Tatiana is quite attractive and whatever she chooses to do she will do well with hard work and determination. It is true she has to deal with her emotions because unfortunately in life we all have to deal with critics like yourselves who are cruel. With me, I don’t care what others think of me because I am good in and out.
By the way, Tatiana is not a bad writer. She wrote with passion. English may not be her first language. Many of you people are also poor writers.
I’m disappointed that Tatiana Del Toro did not make it into the final 12. I think that she is a star in the raw. In fact, she’s the closest thing to Madonna I’ve seen since, well, Madonna–back in the day. Del Toro is certainly a better singer than Ms M; way better. She’s also undeniably charismatic. And the camera loves her. Most importantly, she is unforgettable, for all the right AND wrong reasons. That’s what makes a pop star. Del Toro is the only reason I’ve watched consecutive–not to mention entire–episodes of American Idol for the first time. I hope that she gets a chance to return for the Wild Card segment.
I truely consider that Tatiana should get psychological help for I consider she is bending towards a bi-polar behavior. There is treatment available. Tatiana if you want to be famous, get treatment first and then you will be able to reach your dreams and goals.
I originally voted for Tatiana and Danny. I belive that Tatiana is very talented. A bit on the loud side, but that can be fixed by advise from a coach, family or friends that love her and wish her well. I also believe that she is unique and genuine. She just happens to come across self centered, because she wants this and is working really hard for it. Tatiana just expresses her emotions a bit more than most young people are used to seeing, as evidenced by her blessing herself with the sign of the cross, and thanking Jesus for another milestone in this race. Tatiana has every right to express her cultural upbring or her life, without people judging her and calling her crazy. What I do love about Tatiana is that she is not ashamed to mention the name of Jesus in her emotionall excitement–that says alot to me. More people should follow that example. Go Tatiana–Go Danny!!! You are going to a higher place and heights.
what’s wrong with Tatiana babe.. she can sing, but her acting ability (drama) is drowning her voice. the best place for her to audition is the DRAMATIC GUILD CLUB. or
she can probably check herself in at a Behavioral Institution. she is completely annoying and she is making herself popular in the wrong way. nobody wants to hire a psychotic, neurotic personality. the movie production is in the ‘remaking of an old film’ ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOO’S NEST’, it is probably best for her to audition a part in that movie….. I have to agree with whoever said they think that Tatiana is leaning towards being bi-polar. I have dealt with more than my share of bi-polar people over the years and she truly appears to be full-blown bi-polar. That is why she is so overly-dramatic, has very little control of her emotions, has a very grandiose opinion of herself that no one else shares, etc… If she truly suffers from this condition, she needs help and medication, which could make a world of difference for her. If she never gets this, she can try as hard as she wants, but the entertainment industry will eat her alive, and she will be the least able to cope with it of anyone. Personally, feel sorry for her because although most everyone can tell she has a problem, she will be the last to know. Very typical.
Oh, incidentally, many bi-polar people are very intelligent and talented, and she may be as well.
