I’ve just been given an update from the great team over at TheBraddyBunch.com regarding the Cease and Desist order that American Idol laid on them last week
Here’s what the Site says now:
We’ll be back in: 22:38:59
Yep, American Idol has given Ricky Braddy’s original Fansite, TheBraddyBunch.com
their “Blessing” to start up again.
Also, Here’s an article about Rickys Wildcard Chances. I just had to post it because this site is mentioned!!! (WOOOOO HOOOOO)
American Idol 8: Is Ricky Braddy in the Wild Card Round? (And Who’s Hopeful?)
A quarter of American Idol 8’s Top 12 has been announced, but early on, there quite a significant amount of outcry over some of the decisions made. What is Michael Sarver doing here? Why is Tatiana del Toro nowhere? (Or, why is she there in the first place?) Why didn’t Anoop Desai make it? Where the heck is Ricky Braddy?
Ricky was one of last week’s performers, and he was relatively one of the night’s better performers, considering that most of his batch didn’t do well as expected. But, of course, some names stood out more than others, and he was denied a chance at the top 12, in favor of Danny Gokey, Alexis Grace, and (shudder) Michael Sarver. But for his fans, his journey is not yet over—they have so many reasons to believe that he still has a chance to make it to the finals, through the Wild Card round.
Clue one: one fan site dedicated to Ricky, TheBraddyBunch.com, apparently received a cease and desist order from American Idol producers Fremantle Media. The site has been taken down, but in its place is a graphic that’s pretty much akin to the nine squares in The Brady Bunch. The middle square has a question mark in it.
“Due to legal reasons, Ricky has disappeared,” the site said. “Find the missing piece,” referring to the question mark in the middle.
JoesPlaceBlog.com, a site recommended by those at TheBraddyBunch.com, has fueled speculation that Ricky is the missing piece—which means he will be part of the Wild Card round.
Clue two: calls to the show’s PR department have basically confirmed that Ricky is still in the running; they say he is unavailable for interviews because he is still “in contest.” Personally, though, I wouldn’t put too much meaning to this—is this the case with everybody else? I don’t have that much of an idea, to be honest.
Regardless of whether he makes it in or not, his fans have lamented the fact that Ricky didn’t get as much screen time as the other contestants. Remember, we didn’t see much of him until last week—a complete contrast to the attention Idol gave to Danny and Alexis. Also consider that Ricky is one of Paula Abdul’s top three picks, along with Danny and Adam Lambert, who will perform this Wednesday.
With that, fans are hopeful that Ricky will still be in the wild card. “I’m thinking Ricky will get more face time in the wild card episode and especially if he makes the top 12,” T.J. Long Jr., the pastor as the church where Braddy and his family are members, said. “[Paula] is the only singer, and she has pull [on the show]. Ricky is definitely going to be there for the wild card.”
“At this stage it’s all about the drama,” he added. “Who knows what they’re doing.”

I am very excited! I really wanted to submit a braddy dance! Now it looks like I will be able to! They probably realized that there were so many other fan sites and didn’t want to take the time to shut them down as well!

Yes, your vision serves you right: TheBraddyBunch.com is Coming Back!
American Idol recently notified “Team Braddy” of The Braddy Bunch and gave them the approval necessary to put their site back UP!
You’re probably thinking, “Wow, this is strange!” Well, you’re not alone. ”Team Braddy” is equally confused. A phone call was received from an American Idol attorney tonight giving them the go-ahead if certain measures were taken care of in making sure the website does not infringe upon any contractual obligations. Team Braddy is currently working hard to ensure the site does not violate any infringements.
If you’re thinking The Braddy Bunch has pulled a fast one on you, you’re wrong!
The email sent to The Braddy Bunch demanding the cease and desist order was accompanied by multiple phone conversations with an A.I. attorney. After attempting to stand their ground in defending their actions and innocence, it became clear, after Ricky’s removal from the competition was threatened, that the site needed to be shut down. It was a sad day when the site went down, but The Braddy Bunch tried their best to keep the Braddy momentum moving.
In an effort to do so, The Braddy Bunch bandwagon shifted to this blog – MissingSquare.com!
I appreciate all of Ricky’s fans who have stood behind him and The Braddy Bunch by visiting this site and commenting. As a previous contributing writer for TheBraddyBunch.com I will continue to post articles and stories about Ricky, but will also keep up the posting here at MissingSquare.
Thank you, fans of Ricky, for your patience and understanding of this matter.
Hope to see you both here & there, at http://www.thebraddybunch.com!

YAY! YAY! YAY! I’m soo excited!!
I really hope ricky braddy is a wild card pick!!
I’m thinking that the reason they made such a fuss over the site to begin with was because he was going to be one of the judges’ wild card picks. Now, they’ve changed their minds and everything is fine now? I dunno, this may be bad news for Ricky’s wild card chances.
Nice job, Braddy Bunchers!!!
Interesting theory, Vickers, that the reason is b/c of the wild card, but you know, I don’t think this is related. I think it was b/c of all of the uproar all over the blogosphere, and it was good p.r. for Ricky but NOT for Idol.
I heard Ricky’s performance again. Beautiful performance, not at all pitchy, confident, amazing up range and runs. If he doesn’t get wild card and someone like Michael Sarver does, it will be a travesty, and a lot of Idol fans may even turn away from the show and wait for S9.
BTW, David Cook’s next single is Come Back to Me, a very pretty track, and Michael John’s first track drops next month. I’m stoked.
I know! If Ricky doesn’t come back as a wild card than alot of his fans in California will be watching another tv show on Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s!
That may not be good news for Rickey’s chances on getting a wildcard now that AI did that! I am kind of worried now!
