I think it is ultra CRAPPY that American Idol could not spend 90 seconds to show us Ricky Braddy last night. WTH!
Among the first 12 of the semifinalists, is Ricky Braddy. I realize that many of us have picked our Favorite – after watching the Audition and Hollywood rounds…But Please DO NOT COUNT RICKY OUT!!
I hate the way AI manipulates the voting public. Ricky seems to be a really neat guy with a fabulous voice and demeanor. So, he doesnt have a sob story. That should mean that we are not interested? That’s B.S.
Maybe they are saving Ricky for the “Wow Factor”, but I still think it is a complete injustice.
Paula named Ricky as one of her Top Three Favorite Contestants this year, And with a fan site called “The Braddy Bunch” you know he has got to be fun.

Totally agreed. He is a myspace friend and I get his twitter postings, too. I know that Anoop and my favorite singer Danny are pretty much shoo-ins, so I’ll be voting for Ricky.
There are SO many things that have gone wrong this season on AI re: contestants like Jamar, Tatiana, Norman/Nick, Nathanial, Lanesha,, and the list goes on and one)and ridiculous things like the sing offs and NOW you put someone in the first round of Top 36 (1st Top 12 group) without giving said person ANY FACE TIME is astounding. What has happened to my favorite show? Boy, is David Cook lucky he was part of S7 and not this (to date) debacle.
RDB is Amazing!!! I was disappointed they didn’t give him more face time, but that’s AI for you. Let Norman and Tatiana have the spotlight instead- BLECHHHH!
It’s okay though, because his voice is so great that he doesn’t need all the extra drama. He is so funny…I don’t think he’s changed much since we were 12. He grew up in Elizabeth City NC, and he’s a sweetheart. VOTE FOR RICKY!!!!

There are so many strong singers in group one. What happened? They should have at least grouped them in proportion.
BTW, and I have no idea where this would go (sorry, Joe, and you can put it somewhere else if it doesn’t belong here), but David Cook and Carrie Underwood sang together at the Disney World Idol Experience that opened yesterday at, of course, Disney World. Probably very corny, BUT all of the Idol winners were there, and Cook and Underwood’s duet on “You Can Go Your Own Way” by Fleetwood Mac is amazing. Go here to see the video:

Thanks to Idol Watcher on Brian Mansfield’s American Idol Channel for the information. Mansfield reviews the evening, which sounded very cool. The experience itself, however…not so much. Maybe Ricky or Danny will end up on that stage someday…My money’s on Danny, though, but I could see Adam or Anoop taking it. I don’t know about the girls: I think it’s a guy year.
This season is weird. By far, Ricky the best chops of the night and I think LOOKS like a star…no idea what Simon is talking about….this guy has it!
THe fact is he has had NO screen time (even Paula mentioned that)

The other thing is, there was no way that any guy was going to beat Danny or the oil guy as they have been so heavily featured….the vote was pretty made up. I don’t even remember any of the other men that are in the competition but it sucks that a singer like Ricky was placed in group 1 where I think everyone pretty much knew the outcome
I really hope he comes back and secures himself a place in the Wild Card round because he totally deserves it and it would be AWESOME to see this underdog wipe the floor with the competition and the producers favourites.

Hey Ricky was awsome and deserved a spot. i agree with a comment i read on this page about the way AI manipulates the people around they want to succeed. the ones who never get any airtime from the audition process to the first show of individual are historically doomed. this happens over and over. and also last night voting 11 of my votes were manipulated to another contestant i only used redial everytime and 11 times it told me thanks for voting for contestant 3 i was not voting for 3 so yea rick was probably jipped but we have WILD CARD to be hopeful for and atleast he got some exposure
Absolutely! Ricky has the amazing vocal talent that AI truly needs after last year’s mess of a season. He had better get placed on the wild card show, and people had BETTER vote for him, or I will completely dismiss the season as a sham.
