Today Paula Abdul was Interviewed On the TV Guide Network show IDOL WATCH. She was asked who her top three are. Here’s her answer:

The only real surprise is Ricky Braddy, who we know so little about. We do know that a member of his band blabbed thaqt he was in the top 50 a month or two ago. other than that, here’s what I got:

hopefully we get to see ricky’s performance this week then if he’s really that good, im surprised a little to see no girls but im biased since my early pick to win the whole thing is stevie wright. the other 2 guys are obvious picks along with anoop.
I can imagine that we are going to see Paula’s standing O LOTS of time this year with her hands reaching out to those guys. And if we are lucky enough, we are going to see her visiting da HOUSE more often than a judge should in behind the scenes. Well, I know I would (if I were an AI judge).
i agree with her about adam and danny! they are both awesome and unique. i cannt comment on the last one since i dont think they have shown him yet
The more I hear about the guys this year, the more uncomfortable I am about the format. Someone good will probably get the shaft before the top 12.
I can’t wait to hear this guy, but I’m hoping he won’t be on the same night as any combination of two of Adam, Danny, Matt G, Anoop, or Nick/ Normund. I can’t imagine any of them disappointing on voting night. At least Ricky has a good shot at a wild card slot if he gets shafted. Nick/ Normund is another thing altogether.
Do you think we could end up like CI this year with an all guy top 5? I hope the girls step it up in the voting rounds.

I know Ricky too. And he is a REALLY GOOD singer, at least as good as if not better than Adam and Danny. And yeah, I agree about the no girls thing, for some reason they just aren’t shining as much this season.
He is fab:) I know him as well and he is AT LEAST as good as (in my opinion better than) Adam and Danny. I just can’t wait to hear him sing.
I LOVE Danny and Adam. I hope they aren’t already too popular and there is a backlash. I don’t remember Ricky, but I am looking forward to seeing his performances. There are a few young females (Jasmine is one, I think) that may do well, and I like Ann Marie a alot, but I think the guys have it again this year (Asoop is another who has been touted as being Top 12).
I think that everyone will be very happy when they finally get to hear Ricky sing. Such a great talent and a wonderful human being. Go Get Em Little Ricky!
Ricky is from my home town…I grew up with him in church in NORTH CAROLINA…he moved to Nashville after college which has only been a few years back. I can’t WAIT to see him on TV, he will blow you away

Ricky was born in NC, but he went to college IN Nashville (Belmont).

Ricky sang at my friend’s wedding a few years back. He is very talented! I was blown away when I heard him sing. His sister sings as well! She also has a beautiful voice. Everyone from his hometown has been waiting anxiously to see Ricky on idol!
Ricky is a fantastic singer, wish we could see him sing on the show soon.
I am also from Ricky’s hometown and hung out with his siter a bit growing up! I am excited to see him on American Idol, that is if they ever show him! I truly think he is much better than some of the others they are showing on there, but I’m sure they show that drama for the ratings! Just wait til Ricky gets his chance on the tube! I agree with Rae! They are surely saving the best for last. Ricky is an amazing singer. It was no surprise to me that he was one of Paula’s favs, but I wish we could see more of him on the show.
Ricky is hands down gonna end up at the top of this thing just purely based on talent and personality… Paula Abdul is absolutely right for putting him in her top 3. America hasn’t see him yet, but I’ve been hearing him sing for years and he is one of the best raw talents in Nashville, TN. You all better get ready to have your faces melting by Ricky Braddy. That’s all I got to say about that!

I am disappointed that Idol has showcased only a certain few singers and wonderfully talented singers like Ricky are not shown and his name only mentioned once last night. I am pulling for Ricky and hope you all will vote for him once you hear his beautiful voice. (his sister has a voice that reminds me of Kelly Clarkson!)
Ricky is great. He’s good friend of mine. We once worked together. I believe his versatility will outshine the others. He can do any genre of music. I like Adam,too ( huge voice ) but can he do any genre? I really like danny, too.

I knew Ricky when was a kid singing in church. It is so hard to beleive that he is on TV. He def has the talent to be the next Idol.

Why in the world would they place Ricky in a group of guys that everyone has seen all over the place. I don’t think it fair of the Idol folks to keep Ricky such a secret and then put him in the six that have hogged the screen and been able to build a fanbase, and some a bit arrogantly at that. Ricky will still be great, we just all have to make sure we vote, and many times. Go Ricky!
Idol has often saved the best for last in previous seasons and they are doing the same again this year by not showcasing Ricky earlier. He’s an AWESOME talent with a very wide range.

Elizabeth City is so proud of this hometown fellow! I can remember him singing his heart our when he was a little boy and now look at him! Ricky is very deserving of the accolades he is receiving. Ricky Braddy has a superb voice, a charismatic stage presence and admirable characteristics. America will be astounded when American Idol finally divulges it’s most secret weapon this season, Ricky Braddy! VOTE Tuesday to keep Ricky Braddy on American Idol!
Ricky is going to blow them out of the water! Having heard Ricky numerous times in Teen Talent, and not to mention kids camp when we were little trust me he has it in the bag. He was singing at birth. I remember him singing a Michael English song at camp and that was literally the first time I got goose bumps from hearing someone sing. The boy can blow. He has my vote as well as the votes of my students. Go Team Braddy Bunch!
