So we admit that Paula Abdul is a bit on the odd side most days. We have always loved her from the 80’s when we were kids and listened to her music, to her taking jabs at Simon Cowell on American Idol. We can completely understand though why many outlets claim that she is either drunk or high on some substance everytime she is seen. She stutters and sputters over her words and seems to have a hard time getting her point across. Maybe she is just happy though…right? So she has let Life & Style know who her choices are for the stars of this years American Idol? You might be surprised!
Paula Abdul was very candid in who she thinks has what it takes and who doesn’t. Do you agree? This is what she is reported to have said.
“I can tell you that the guys have some standouts. That kid Danny Gokey is one of my favorites. Adam Lambert is pretty darn amazing. So are the guys who play the dueling pianos (Matt Giraud and Ricky Braddy). And Scott‚ the blind kid, is fantastic.” Paula Abdul even has an opinion about the oddest contestant that even drives us a bit crazy, Nick Mitchell, who may be better known as Norman Gentle. “I think he’s one of the funniest ones and he can sing!”
Paula Abdul’s American Idol favorites do not stop with the guys however, there are some females that she likes as well. One only has one more shot getting in to the top 12 and that will only happen if Paula wins the battle to have her in the Wild Card round, and the other we have yet to see during the top 36 semi-final. “I love Megan (Corkrey). Oh, and Jackie Tohn — she’s great.”
So far only one of Paula Abdul’s favorites have wowed the American voters. Who else do you think will make it into the American Idol Season 8 top 12?

i agree mostly with paula because my favourite guys are:
danny gokey, adam lambert, matt giraud, anoop desai, ricky braddy and kris allen!
my favourite girls are:
jasmine murray, megan corkrey, lil rounds, allison iraheta, kendall beard and kristin mcnamara.

Paula always likes the guys, sometimes a little too much.
for me my favorite are, Kris Allen, Kai Kalama and Jasmine Murray i hope this three semi-finalist will advance to the top 12 and be the next American idol.
I agree with Paula’s favorites for the girls (Megan and Jackie) but then for the girls I also like Alison Iraheta. I am hoping that Alison will make it through by votes because Megan would the be an ovbious WC. Then for guys I like Sarver and Adam.
No Anoop. That doesn’t bode well for the wildcard round.

I think that Ann Marie has a great voice. A lot of people said that she picked the wrong song but I think she picked it because she wanted to come out of her shell. This shows that she is a person that is willing to take risks and become more confident. Remember her audition? She was seen as shy in terms of star persona but now she seems more confident. She also has a genuine personality evident, she is always smiling and cheerful and she seems like a really fun person. She seems like a really humble person! She took the judges advices well on! During the group 1 performance, she almost transformed! Completely different look from her audition. She is also very attractive and this all adds up to a very likeable star persona. Although I’m sure that she can perform even better.
Her brother Anthony actually added me on FB! He seems like a really nice guy as well and he has been working so hard to try and recruit people to vote for her. He has been commenting everywhere, on FB, joining grouops, spreading news, voting tips, joining pages.
Unfortunately it didn’t work out but I really think that she deserves to be in the top 12. I feel like she would do really well if she were given another chance.
I personally think that Anoop Desai, Ricky Braddy and Ann Marie Boskovich are the best picks for the wildcard for group 1 choices.
I really love Ann Marie and lots of people love her as well! Everyone loves their favourite contestant but there is just something that I really like able Ann Marie. I think that it would be an opportunity missed not to pick her for the wildcard round.

Some people have been hating saying that she has done previous music…I think every contestant has had something to do with music in the past!

with Matt? I LOVED that!!! Maybe that’s why he stuck in my mind. But Anoop missing IS weird…plus she picked Jackie over Alexis??? Since she mentioned Danny, who is already in the Top 12, she must not have been impressed with Alexis, who was by far the strongest girl of the evening. That is truly bizarre, IMHO.
Yep, I totally see a guy taking it again this year, though so far no one is sticking out for me the way Cook did, though I know it’s still way too early to call. Check out Cook’s YouTube videos ending with A Daily AntheM. Truly amazing.
I wish Anoop was on that list! The fact that he’s not there means Paula won’t fight as hard for him in the Wildcard round. Ricky deserves Paula’s support whole-heartedly because he’s great! But Anoop is amazing as well, and I hope one of the judges really feel that he deserves to be in the Top 12 too.
I agree with Paula on Adam and Nick, but that’s it. Why no Anoop? Anoop is freaking amazing. And the fact that Paula didn’t list him makes me think he has a less chance of making it through the Wildcard week.
