Well, AI has come up with a never before used theme….and it’s a doozy.
Here’s a video of Alex Lambert and Lilly Scott being followed and questioned by TMZ:
Well, AI has come up with a never before used theme….and it’s a doozy.
Well, after a ridiculous results show last week America has finally made a rational decision. The result wasn’t very shocking, but it was interesting to see Tim in the bottom three, even if it was for just a few seconds. Maybe the force isn’t as strong with Young Tim as I would have assumed. Or [...]
Well, we’re here, finally. The Top 12 Results. We got to sit through David Cook (who was pretty freaking awesome), Orianthi (who has the stage presence of a ficus), and Ke$ha (who is trying really hard to be the next Gaga). It was kinda cool seeing the performances. I’m not quite sure that Ke$ha is [...]
Simon tells us that there will again this year be a Judges Save. Can be use until the top 5. Cool!
Now David Cook sings Jumpin’ Jack Flash – He is SO GREAT. I miss season 7.
American Idol Viewers Say Paige Miles Should Go Home After Her Performance Last Night

Here’s a link to the Joe’s Place Idol Pool, where you can win all sort’s of fabulous prizes by winning the pool. It is NOT too late to Join in. The lowest vote getter’s have been so unpredictable that almost no one has any points so far.
I asked our great Mod’s here at Joe’s Place to give me their own personal rankings of last night’s performances. Here’s what they had to say:
We are finally in the finals and this week the top 12 come out swinging with songs from The Rolling Stones!! The Idol stylists have gotten hold of some of the contestants and the stage has quadrupled in size so that it resembles the control room in Quantum Leap. That’s right. I just threw in [...]
Recapping Tonight’s Performances With Rankings and Analysis
Look, alright, we seem to be grading on a curve this season. A lot of contestants got praise, I think, just for being not terrible. Last week, contestants like Katie Stevens were terrible, and got a free pass this week just for being mediocre. Is Idol accepting mediocrity as a form of talent?
In what is [...]
A HUGE thank you to our spy tonight, Jeff. (Jeff, you are the BEST!!! <3)
Here’s tonight’s song spoilers:
The finals are FINALLY here! We move onto the big stage, with the contestants doing their best Mick Jagger tonight. Poor Paige Miles had no voice as of this morning. Hope she pulls through.
Look for recently eliminated contestants, Lilly Scott and Alex Lambert to appear on The Ellen Degeneres Show today (Lilly) and Tomorrow (Alex).
Yesterday Alex posted the following on Facebook:
I have never been so thankful in my entire life as i am right now! Everybody watch Ellen on Wednesday….
She may be on the cusp of fame and fortune, but American Idol favorite Crystal Bowersox knows what it’s like to be unpopular because she was humiliated in high school for being poor, RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned.
Kara DioGuardi has surprised many American Idol fans by predicting a male will win this year’s season.
Though many are predicting that a female will scoop the title this year and some are going as far as to say it will be Crystal Bowersox,
Joe’s Place is looking for a spy to attend this week’s dress rehearsal on American Idol. If you feel like attending and are willing to call/email/text me the songs and performance order as soon as the rehearsal is over, email me at jp@joesplaceblog.com. You will be my very best friend, and you will find that [...]
Hello to all the readers out there!
So sorry it took so long to get this commentary set posted; I had to run out of town and lost track of everything in my life. It’s all-good though.
Last week, we said goodbye to four talented singers. Would Katelyn, Alex, Todrick and [...]
Idol Fans, and Joe’s Place Moderators, Idol Maniac and Brian, have begun doing an Idol Podcast. Here’s their first show. Enjoy:
Every year I like to take a moment the day before the finals begin and really dig deep into some of these contestants. Talent, vocal ability, personality, and other artistic qualities that make a contestant a contender shed light onto where exactly we (as an addicted audience) stand at this point in the competition.
I was cruising through Youtube when I noticed a cover by someone named Laura Zeen of Never Say Never. It wasn’t a great cover, and I noticed her picture was that of her auditioning for Idol. I checked out more of her videos, and I noticed that she’s a Hollywood Round contestant from Seasons 6 [...]
One of our posters,rk349097, posted the Rolling Stones Songs that the contestants will be singing this week. Access Hollywood must have spoiled the songs. Here’s what rk349097 had to say:
Last night Ryan announced that viewers could log onto Facebook and give ideas to the contestants on their song choices. The contestants would be checking the discussion.
Even after the ultra emotional night that the Idol Contestants had after losing Todrick, Lilly, Alex and Kaitlyn, the top 12 still had to Par-tay. Here’s a few video’s from the night:
The sound of jaws dropping across the country after Thursday night’s shocking “American Idol” vote-off was mirrored in the comments left by MTV News readers in the wake of the eliminations of Katelyn Epperly, Lilly Scott, Alex Lambert and Todrick Hall.
You there, Seacrest! What day is this? Oh I had the most wondrous vision last night. Last night I think I actually cared about this season of American Idol. I felt real feelings. Too bad they were angry feelings.
Here’s a message from Ben, who is an Online Marketing Specialist at Mediacurves/HCD Research, Inc. who is conducting the great Idol Democracy survey. This survey wants to see who would vin, and who would be voted off American Idol, if each person was allowed only one vote per week.
You know things are bad indeed when Simon Cowell buries his head in his hands. The moment Ryan asked Andrew Garcia and Alex Lambert to step up into the American Idol semi-finals center ring of doom, Simon’s face just disappeared into his palms, and he stayed that way until Ryan asked him if Andrew had [...]
Hey guys.
I’m not on speaking terms with America right now. I might not even pay my taxes… we should hold a tea party to get Lilly Scott back on the show.
Well, tonight was probably the worst set of results on American Idol… ever. Favorite contestants were being ejected and forgotten left and right like minor characters from Lost. And guess what? This was pretty easy to see coming. When there are so many contestants of a similar genre and style there will be casualties. Katelyn [...]
Tonight is the last night of he Semi-Finals. We will soon know who our finalists are.
I will put anything important in here, and will be doing a Play-By-Play at Show Time.
Greetings, this is the first week of the Idol Democracy Report. Well, if you look at the current numbers, you might as well hand the ladies crown to Crystal. She has been in command since Week One, and getting better and better every week. Shewon the week by a wide 3-1 margin [...]
Why did Ryan introduce the contestants like he was a butler announcing guests at a fancy soiree on a southern South Carolina plantation in the 1850s? “Ma’am, I have the pleasure of announcing Miss Delilah’s suitors for the evening. Michael.” “He’s black.” “Hmm… well, it appears I have not done a good job picking out [...]
Well, in about 12 hours we will have 12 butts to fill the uncomfortable, but oh so wanted, top 12 chairs. Who will fall short? This week, it was really hard for me to pick which guys will be leaving. I am actually thinking of splitting the votes for the Joe’s Place Idol Weekly Pool [...]
American Idol’s Top 12 contestants will perform the music of the Rolling Stones next week. During a commercial break at the guys performance show last night , Ryan Seacrest taped a radio promotion in which he mentioned that the first week for the 12 Idol finalists will feature songs by the Rolling Stones.
